it’s incredible how events can change in literally seconds. Prior to the sending off, we were containing a Chelsea attack and we were heading towards half time.

Possession and high-pressing means lots of energy. If we’re looking at trying to compete in competitions then we’ve gained better depth to be able to rotate and avoid being burnt out or injured.

Thiago gives us more creativity, more rest options without lowering quality on the field but also he gives us a better ability to keep the ball when being pressed. Teams will be knackered trying to play against us.

You know, I wonder if that might have been the member of staff who clashed with Lampard the last time. Anyway, I’m glad Klopp told him off, even if I can kinda understand it from his perspective also. The yellow was changed to a red, I don’t think many would clap were it just a red without the wait, you know?

Anyway, it did seem as if Lampard immediately looked over when they started clapping and that’s just not at all sporting, especially with no fan noises to drown out who is cheering as your teams chances essentially go up in smoke.
