20th September 2020 at 6:22 pm #166478Thought the way we played in the first half was very good without really creating much. We were tight and compact and the press was excellent. We dominated the ball.
Brilliant 1st goal.great move. Always a huge win if you beat Chelsea at the bridge. Maybe it was a good time to play them as missing some players. Then again I thought it was good time to play us as not defending well and fabhino covering at centre back but he was absolutely excellent.
Delighted with the win and great to get a clean sheet

20th September 2020 at 6:31 pm #166480Fantastic Result for the Reds and Really Happy. I didn’t expect it to turn out like this with possession and being on the front foot against a revamped Chelsea.
The Penalty Save and the save after will do Allison’s confidence the World Of Good.
We had a ‘blip period’ after the restart and haven’t really been at the level we’ve shown over the last 2 years. Today I feel a lot of that for coming back. We needed a Clean Sheet.
Good to see Thiago get 45 mins under his belt. Hopefully he’ll feature next Monday against Arsenal.
2 out of 2 and we’re on the Right Track. Happy Days π

20th September 2020 at 6:34 pm #166481AnonymousCompletely agree Sean. Before the red, it looked like we were likely going to score, if there was to be a goal. Chelsea were hitting us on the break though and the red spoiled their chances a bit. reds definitely ruin games, not at all denying that but it isn’t the ref doing it, it’s the players themselves and in this case, he cost his team.
To say that wasn’t a red, because mane apparently dived… He had both arms over him…
besides the red, I think we looked a lot better. Fabinho covered well but it’s game-week 2 and we’re already using our utility players. Go get a CB!
anyway commiserations to the Chelsea lads on here, even you blue. That’s no way to lose a game, regardless of where I stand.

20th September 2020 at 6:38 pm #166482Paxton, while I agree that the conspiracy thing is a silly claim, there’s really no need to jump on young blue the way you did. The Chelsea lads, like any others add a lot to this site. We need to be able to disagree without attacking posters like that

20th September 2020 at 6:43 pm #166484No probs with the Penalty. It might of changed the shape of the remainder of the game had that found the net and a draw might have been forced.
Mane was in front of Christensen had his arms over Mane and there was infringement. It was a clear goal-scoring opportunity and in that type of situation, it’s a straight Red Card.

20th September 2020 at 6:44 pm #166486AnonymousIn the words of young_blue βI stand by my views anyway, if you are not comfortable then itβs up to you.β
They are dumb claims and not worthy of respect.

20th September 2020 at 6:50 pm #166487AnonymousGood win on the road, good performance, Chelsea simply looked lethargic. There’s something odd happening In football… especially in an empty stadium. VAR feels really mechanical. Its a bit heavy metal, which is probably what Klopp is listening to right now celebrating a big win. (see what I tried to do there)

20th September 2020 at 7:18 pm #166488That was an very comfy win for Liverpool, but not matter how many attacking midfielders and strikers Chelsea have signed they are not a unit.Defence is allover the place and there is noone protecting the defence. Will score loads of goals going forward if they click, but will concede even more at the back.
Liverpool to easy defend the title if they carry on like this._____________________________

20th September 2020 at 7:31 pm #166489Salah and ManΓ© look as good as ever. Bobby looks a bit off his game. Fabinho did very well at the back. Thiago probably didnβt expect to feature and looked a bit rusty. But we generally look as strong as last season. So nice after years of false dawns to be in this place.

20th September 2020 at 7:39 pm #166490AnonymousEditor, I dont think you should delete his account. Give him some time off but he’s got to know that he’s being prescious here and although I know what you mean regards to Paxton laying it on him, he was odd before he said a word to him.
If you’re going to say ridiculous things, you’re going to be criticized for it. Not only was he in complete denial, he was route 1 to conspiratorial nonsense.

20th September 2020 at 7:46 pm #166492AnonymousKepa has to go down as the worst ever signing in the history of the premier league.

20th September 2020 at 8:08 pm #166493That errors possibly the final straw to break the camel’s back. Something that’s stayed with Kepa (what I picked up off the radio earlier) was his attitude and disobedience towards Sarri some time back. Maybe that’s in fans/supporters minds.
He’s been criticized heavily though. It’s one of those that once he’s in that type of spot-light, every other save is judged.
Maybe a break is what’s needed and going forward a new move and new start.

Liverpool have had their share of Keepers that have looked good but then have gone the other way drastically!

20th September 2020 at 8:18 pm #166495AnonymousNil- kepa shouldβve been permanently dropped after his confrontation with sari. It was evident then what his character is. However the fact that that has been overlooked could be accepted if he was the best keeper in The world. Weβre all fickle and would forgive it. However he is potentially the worst ever premier league signing. Heβs already statistically the worst goalkeeper in the league right now and given his enormous price tag he has to be considered one of the worst in the premier league era.

20th September 2020 at 8:30 pm #166497Pax, I agree with the last part of your comment given the Price-tag, the goals shipped in (although Defense has some part to play in that stat), and essentially, not living up to expectations. I didn’t realize he was 25 and had him done a lot younger – only 2 years behind Allison. Also before Allison’s transfer fee, Kepa was the most expensive.
I sort of see where you’re coming from.

20th September 2020 at 8:53 pm #166499A lot of goals being scored at the moment and only after just 2 games played. Down to no crowd?
