Congrats LD and Nine. I only saw Mendys save at the very end, incredible stuff. I can see where that MOTM award came from. Liverpool recently had a game where Alisson’s heroics meant we walked away with the points too. People say “they should have lost” etc and they’ve got a point in a way but that world class keeper is every bit as important as anyone else.
Well, you lads remain first in what will surely become the leading pack. Amazing to see Brighton up in 4th (for now).

Down to Tuchel’s tactics today imo Lucky in order to counter Brentford’s tactics. Had we played more open with Mount and Havertz in the team Brentford would probably have overpowered us.
This game straight after the international break without Rudiger and Thiago was a big challenge today.

Nine in fairness thatβs tuchels tactics most of the time. Chelsea donβt really create much. They are so well organised and so defensively disciplined abd so hard to beat. They donβt play expansive football. Itβs sit tight ,score and defend in most games and it works. Very very hard side to beat. Nothing wrong with it. Cl winners and a formidable team
City game was the same. Kante was sick but Chelsea only came out to play when city scored. I donβt get this we canβt attack certain teams as we be to open. Brentford attacked us and were brave and got what they deserved ._____________________________

Yet Liverpool are the only team to score more goals in the PL than Chelsea Sean.π
Tuchel’s usual tactics are 3/4/2/1. Had it not been Brentford away without Silva and Rudiger straight after the international break I suspect Jorginho and Mount would have played today.
All done and dusted though now Sean different teams have different strengths Liverpool are fortunate to have Salah the front 3 are Liverpool’s strength but there’s more than one way to eat an orange!

From Chelsea’s POV, refreshing considering the defensive side of it was the issue (from recent previous Management at the Helm).
It’s delivered consistency of good results this term with the support of a Top Quality Keeper. They seen out I dare say what was hearts in mouth against a very plucky team.
And ultimately, 3 points.

I actually enjoyed watching Loftus Cheek and Kante today, what we all think is lacking is a creative front runner, Harvetz was actually supposed to be that man, he has shown it at times but not enough, why teams like Chelsea and United drop away badly in the last 20 minutes is a mystery with the players they have.

Loftus cheek has everything in him to be a really top player. Strong , good on the ball, fast etc just needs to be much more consistent
