Weekend Football: Round 8… chop, chop!!

Well, don’t know what feed you guys are watching, but there’s a big round of applause going on and the players are coming back out… so I’m gonna think the poor bugger is perhaps not as bad as first thought, thankfully, and the players are back out…

Going back to football, hope the Spuds can carry on where they left off, that’s possibly the best 30 minutes or so of football this season… I think a 3rd was getting close and I think deserved… the longer the game went on, the more control we seemed to get.

The main thing is the well-being of the poor Geordie…

But Spuds have been pretty decent after the first 5 minutes… it might only be the Bone Saw Boyz, who apart from the first 2 minutes, have been about as good as their position in the table suggests, simply relying on a bit of magic from the one or two decent players they have.

I think Spuds have some more goals in them this second half…

19 goals conceded in seven and a half matches illustrates the size of the problem facing Newcastle.

Newcastle will need to bring 3 or 4 players in January particularly in defence and it isn’t an easy transfer window to try and trade in as well as replace Bruce who is a dead man walking currently.

There is one small silver-lining. If there’s one place to have something serious happen to you, a PL level football match isnt the worst one, as long as they react quickly. The expertise sitting on the benches are extremely highly skilled. I hope that person is ok.

It was only Newcastle but…

Apart from the first 5 and last 5 minutes, that was the best Spuds performance for some time. I think Weirdy Beardy has his settled 11 now, kinda knows what his strongest team is, and the team seems to know what they’re supposed to do… Spuds were absolutely the better side, 5 or even 6 wouldn’t have flattered them.

And we’re 5th in the table, as Makky says, not bad for a team in crisis!!
