Very good second half despite City’s domination of the first half, a draw was probably the right result. 2 super goals from Foden and Salah.

OOOoff that was something else. Shame Fabinho didnt score there towards the end, the goal was gaping but Rodri came out of nowhere to block it. A good game, I’m never delighted with 1 point but considering who it was against and the form they were in, ya I guess it’s not so bad.
Tale of 2 halves, City very dominant int he 1st half and us in the 2nd. I still think there are some problems with our defending but City will always get chances, no matter how good they are. Thankfully, we defended better than we did against Palace though.

Fabulous game of football. Four genuinely good goals, probably the pick, just, the Salah one. Never thought I’d be disappointed with a 2-2 draw at Anfield but that’s football. I thought we dominated for 75% of the game but we need a striker. Technically superb in the first half and then Liverpool woke up and the second was fairly even.

Ah ya, I’m not even sure what we could do with any one player to get a midfield that works but every midfield will look poor against City, with their style of play and ability on the ball. Credit must go to Pep for managing to get a group of lads up to such a high standard. People saying if they had Kane how they’d walk the league but they’d lose some of their control. They cant have 12 players out there, so I dunno… I mean, I did say similar at the start of the season…
What would you do with the midfield? I don’t think we can address it without spending a lot of money and that doesn’t seem like it;’s going to happen. Of course, Elliott being injured is going to make things worse than they really are, in terms of options, with our future in mind.
Salah though was really the difference between us nearly winning and definitely losing. They need to sort his contract situation out. It really never should have gotten this far.
Credit to Alisson for a few nifty saves in the first half also. Talk of City not having a striker but we still needed a world class keeper a few times.

Gotta a nice cup of Tea and feel relaxed. Fabinho didn’t respond quick enough otherwise that would have been the winner.
One Sensational Brilliance from Mo Salah, equally, Phil Foden is Textbook for Man City. They don’t roll over that easily and the T1000.
We can’t play Milner like that. He was lucky to stay on the pitch. We need to consider moving Gomez as cover. Curtis Jones was very much ineffective today apart from that pass to Salah. We missed both Tiago and Naby Kieta. Henderson for all the love needed to be subbed off.
Still a draw is probably a fair result and I feel happy considering our first half performance and both teams deserve the spoils.

Mikus, you know I was thinking about saying it pre-match that this might be the game where we miss that quality that Gini offered us.
All of Hendo, Fabinho and Jones could have been better today but they are always going to be up against it with City. No team wins the midfield battle with them.

We missed Tiago today. Something intriguing on the subject of right-back and Trent. Although I’ve been critical, when he’s on the pitch, we play more higher up and our dynamics change as more of the ball is spent on the opposing half.
