This Coventry vs Fulham is a real nice game.

2nd October 2021 at 2:38 pm #186036Just so poor again from Utd. Ole is on borrowed time now. We’re clearly not winning anything under him, that much has been clear for a long time. No obvious replacement out there though.

2nd October 2021 at 3:03 pm #186037Afraid so Ed. The player recruitment has generally improved, but I think the manager is now your limiting factor. Would you take Zidane?

2nd October 2021 at 3:31 pm #186039No I wouldn’t want Zidane Mikus. I don’t think he’s a great coach, despite the impressive CL record. Conte is nothing but a stop gap either. This is why I don’t think they’ll rush into getting rid. There simply isn’t an obvious choice to come in.
As for the VAR call, couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy than Mina. What a clown he is and deserved nothing after that ridiculous dance in front of the home fans. He has form for that kind of thing with Colombia. Dancing after his penalty against Argentina only for them to lose the shootout.

2nd October 2021 at 3:46 pm #186040Chelsea are really being robbed left, right and centre today, Saints probably going to get something from this game eventually

2nd October 2021 at 3:53 pm #186041No I agree Ed, that is indeed the problem, the lack of alternative options.

2nd October 2021 at 4:05 pm #186042That said, my money would be on it being Zidane 100%. Lots of key players in the side have some kind of connection to him, such as Varane and Ronaldo having already played for him and the likes of Martial and Pogba would instantly get a loft from playing for him having, no doubt, idolised him growing up.

2nd October 2021 at 4:23 pm #186043What’s wrong with Werner the guy was unlucky with his headed goal disallowed but I mean he can’t kick the ball for mince. This game is going to be a problem for Chelsea especially as they had 2 goid goals diakoowed. Read between the yardsticks.

2nd October 2021 at 4:27 pm #186044So the sliding tackle is now completely illegal it seems even if you win the ball fairly.

2nd October 2021 at 4:57 pm #186048Wow what a goal by Chillwill, that goal in the past would never be allowed but goal line technology showed it was.

2nd October 2021 at 5:03 pm #186051AnonymousEd, he’s just a poor manager. He creates needless headlines and this Ronaldo stuff…. what was he thinking? Is it a statement? “Im the boss” kinda thing? Because he wont be for long.
Ya Zidane actually has winning credentials but I get your concerns. TBH, anyway but this fool.
Sooner rather than later to be sure. I’d be calling for his head after this an the stupid Van Dee Beak comments.

2nd October 2021 at 5:37 pm #186052Well, i have to say it will be difficult for Chelsea to win the league, i would rank the lowest because of the decisions that go against Chelsea, it’s difficult to win when the system is fighiting against you.

2nd October 2021 at 5:53 pm #186053Ole clearly thought at age 36 two games close on the heels of each other would have been a bit too much for Ronaldo at 36.
Had United won it would have looked like the right decision as they didn’t it looks like the wrong decision.
Poor attitude when coming off by Ronaldo imo which won’t help anyone.

2nd October 2021 at 5:57 pm #186054YB, I don’t think Chelsea will win the PL I’m hoping though we can stay in contention and finish at least in the top 3 not too far behind the eventual winners who if they solve their striker problems I think will probably be City but I wouldn’t write anyone off and I think it might be quite a close race.

2nd October 2021 at 6:10 pm #186055AnonymousNine, I understand that logic, but then you don’t play him in the CL group stage game, surely? It doesnt matter what it would have looked like had they managed to win, because this decision probably cost them the result.
I didnt see the reaction that Ronaldo had, but is anyone surprised that he might be visibly unhappy? He’s realising that he made a huge mistake in wasting his final few good years on this clown. Ole has probably got a handful of games left before he’s fired, at best.

2nd October 2021 at 6:11 pm #186056AnonymousNine, I got Lukaku in instead of Ronaldo this week. Purely because Ole is an idiot, I didnt expect him to be dropped from the team, more that Utd wouldnt do as well as they should. What would you say about Lukaku so far? Why are ye tipping Chelsea to not win the PL cause you lads looked pretty good against us.

2nd October 2021 at 6:31 pm #186057Mak, I think we’ll probably come up a bit short this season in the PL but I don’t think we’ll be that far away. I’m happy with Lukaku so far he had one disallowed today I think he/we have missed Mount over the last few games but you just have to get on with it.
Re Ronaldo United lost their first CL game they needed a win v Villarreal which is why Ole presumably selected Ronaldo and to be fair it might have been late but Ronaldo delivered the win.

2nd October 2021 at 7:28 pm #186065Mak,,, VD should have an easy afternoon..we have no recognised striker playing!!!! I think we may see somebody else in a forward position . I am not too concerned about this non striker debate because we have topped the goals FOR for the last few seasons, mostly without a striker. We had one bad year in defence, which we were hopeless. Can we do it again that way, I doubt it because we need a box player . Tactical game to morrow, which any slips from either side, will be costly or should be. I would never put City as favourites for the PL, they are beatable because of the way they play and we , as City fans, accept that. If they get into there stride they are good to watch though but we need that man in the box who can convert the chances made. I guess we all want that

2nd October 2021 at 8:48 pm #186067Can only put forward thoughts from the Result in itself as I’ve not seen so far any of the footy. I think in essence, the weight of expectations had heightened vastly from the signings United made with Sancho being one of them.
Ronnie was one Hollywood dream come True and for me is still in the Honeymoon zone. We’re only 7 games in, but results be it positive or negative are easily accentuated.
What’s evident as far as the PL goes is the raised competition from other teams. So if one paper ‘A’ fixture looks like “oh we should beat these”. That’s not the case. Any opposition shouldn’t be taken for granted and there are no easy games.
The money spent and the business activity suggests perhaps that United should be pulling away and drawing/losing points at Old Trafford is quite simply a pile of Frustration and why some fans are on Ole’s case.
