Well I hate to say I told you so about Newcastle game but I did. Remember what I said about defeat to Liverpool sealing Ole’s fate, too.

6th October 2019 at 6:13 pm #49591Surely OGS is now on a borrowed time. results have deteriorated worse than Mourinho. at least Mourinho was having problems with his players. and we knew what the issue with him was. but this guy started very brightly and has been doing great in his interim role. they should have kept him in that process until they got someone who qualifies. but then again great managers have to start from somewhere. Rashford has been the most overrated forward in the league.

6th October 2019 at 6:16 pm #49592Nine, I was thinking what the odds would have been on a 4 fold acca on todays results so far and I reckon at least 70/1

6th October 2019 at 6:18 pm #49593As I’ve been saying for a long time, Ole was the perfect caretaker manager but, from the moment Utd stupidly announced him as the permanent successor to Jose, he was on borrowed time. To think he could take on a challenge as big as the Utd job after taking Cardiff down and then managing in Norway was laughable. He’ll be given the Liverpool game and will go after a dreadful defeat. Mark my words

6th October 2019 at 6:19 pm #49594Iβm not even sure Man Utd would get a new manager bounce.

6th October 2019 at 6:21 pm #49595Anonymous“Mak, weβre a lot more composed now and donβt necessary head for the panic button or go all over the shop when a goal down or needing to find the Winner.”
This reads like you’re having a go at me. I cant think of why though, so Im willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and ask you to clarify what you’re talking about.

6th October 2019 at 6:30 pm #49599Mak, it refers to last season and those ‘7’ points more than anything. We do have previous history of ‘bottling it’, but the Guys I’m sure will have this in mind.
We didn’t handle the pressure well last season, but it seems already we’re getting the points from not being at our very best.

6th October 2019 at 6:34 pm #49601Delighted for Longstaff. What a dream come through.
City certainly are missing Laporte , sane and especially Kdb. Mendy is never fit and stones isnβt playing well
City will bounce back but Laporte is such a massive loss. The best left footed centre back around in my opinion

6th October 2019 at 6:41 pm #49605Adlab….true Fernandinho and Otamendi made some mistakes too day but nobody was blameless if you want to put blame on somebody. I can go through the whole team and highlight poor passes and non tackles but Like I said before, the players were trying hard and maybe that was the problem, other than that they did not play as badly as the score depicts but the score is the score and we have to live with it. I suspect Pep will make changes before the next match assuming we are injury free from Internationals. When Zinchenko and Bernado came on they improved on the first half performance but if you give away soft goals in the EPL you will be punished. Before they scored Wolves had two clear chances to score in the first half, identical in movement. We had four, keeper made two excellent saves but all were chances we would normally put away. As Pep would say, you learn from mistakes but we have not digested yet because Norwich was just a few games ago The more I see of Rodri the more I think….what a good buy Cancello….too early to say, mixture to day of careless and brilliance.

6th October 2019 at 7:00 pm #49608Why do people assume the loss of Kompany is our downfall? Kompany finished the season well but he missed a lot of games as well. I am sure he will agree he could not make another season in the EPL. With City’s style CB do not figure as much, and maybe this will be seen as a weakness. We have Augerro up front but does not play as a target man anymore but still scores goals and assist Should we have replaced him, probably yes to maintain a balance but we cannot turn the clock back. We now have the prospect of bringing in two academy player, at least one will get the chance, Garcia, I think. Pep is very protective of his young players and wants to bring them in carefully.. We all know of young players from all clubs, hailed too early and fizzle out before they get to an age where they can go on and improve further, it is a difficult management decision when you are under pressure. I doubt Pep is under pressure he will always have belief in himself and his team and the youngsters will benefit from this. I do anticipate Foden and Garcia to playing well before Christmas

6th October 2019 at 7:03 pm #49609Nine, appreciate the sentiment. However, there really is no need to feel for Utd fans, not that many do! The Bury fans have lost their football club for good. Things like that are what we should save those kind of feelings for. Utd being a bit crap for a few years after decades of dominance is merely more evidence of the cyclical nature of football. It’s someone else’s turn now.
Utd will be back when we sort out the many problems at the club. If I died tomorrow, though, I’d have experienced as many highs through football as anyone could want to experience in a lifetime.
My guess from here would be Ole being given the boot after a Liverpool drubbing. Carrick temporary until the end of the season while we assess out options but with the proviso that it’s DEFINITELY only temporary. Either that or Allegri straight away

6th October 2019 at 7:09 pm #49610Our biggest signing this season has been Jorginho turn around. the guy has won over his critics. and i can’t get out but thinking that the club will already be drafting the new deal! his clearance in the first half was as important as our third goal. because had Southampton went to 2-3 at the time, they would be smeling a blood we would have been nervous. this could have pushed us to do something silly.
