City have to try and hold on to Liverpool’s coat tails once they get their injured players back in January they can then try and chase them down. But they can’t let the gap widen too much more.

80/1
Chelsea

6th October 2019 at 5:29 pm #49563I think whilst the loss of KDB is a big miss, we can’t say it had any direct impact of the game. credit should be given to Wolves for the way they have defended and caught City on the break. also the difference this season is that, Klopp has worked out the flaws his team had, and we should give credit to him for that. whilst Guardiola has done nothing to improve his team. even though the signs were there last season. and if Liverpool wins this title, credit will go to Klopp.

6th October 2019 at 5:29 pm #49564Brian you cant blame the defenders! We didnt have any. Needs to play Garcia instead of Fernandinho. Ferna is just not a CB.
Nothing went right today. It will happen to others. It always does. Losing to Norwich and Wolves both candidates for relegation because of rank poor defending….what can you say!_____________________________

6th October 2019 at 5:29 pm #49565Mak, that’s a very valid point about scraping victories. Maybe that’s a sign of being a Champion.
I reflected yesterday as far back as when we played Newcastle at Anfield. I think that game was after an International Break. We were a goal down.
Chelsea away was hard for us and that might have been a different result as of Leicester yesterday. Sheffield United too last Weekend. That could have been a draw.
We’re getting the rub of the green and a few of these difficult games are already out of the way with points in the bag, but still a shed load of football to be played.
Man City are no way out.

6th October 2019 at 5:37 pm #49567Chelseaman KDB is a massive miss for City then add all the other key players too.
City’s problem was losing Kompany not replacing him and then Laporte getting injured plus Stones you can’t get by with makeshift Centre Backs particularly given how City are so offensive and consequently vulnerable to the counter attack..
City are under the spotlight on transfers by UEFA that’s why Pep says they’ve got no money and why City haven’t been as active in the transfer market as they would like.

6th October 2019 at 5:38 pm #49568Cant believe the city result to be fair, good advantage for pool now, I know City turned around a similar gap with much less games remaining last year but psychologically Pool are feeling more and more that this is their year and city will be feeling more and more that they are going to fall short, these different outlooks will influence each team as each week progresses and I fancy Liverpool to have a bigger lead come xmas.
A team that always just has about enough and wins consistently by a goal or two imo is a safer bet than a team that can win 8-0 one week and lose 2-0 the next.

6th October 2019 at 5:46 pm #49572Honestly would love Carroll to score winner for Newcastle just for their fans.
Think utd will nick a goal and win 1-0 though.

6th October 2019 at 5:50 pm #49576Im not English lads, but if I was I dont think I would be happy with Rashford getting selected for national team. Seriously as a number 9 Kane, Vardy and even Abraham are much better and on the wing there’s sterling and sancho amongst a few other options. I really dont think he is worthy of his selection.

6th October 2019 at 6:05 pm #49583Good goal by young Longstaff.
If Newcastle go on to win I wonder when the last time was that both Manchester Clubs lost on the same .
