2nd April 2022 at 4:59 pm #195220Awful result for Chelsea. Demo today at the Bridge against one of the potential new owners. Still easy game on Wednesday night.π

2nd April 2022 at 7:17 pm #195223How was that Leicester goal ruled out. The defender fell over. Watching this with an ex pro footballer who couldn’t believe the decision. He is from Newcastle and I quote ” No surprise its Old Trafford “. Stress – not my words!π

2nd April 2022 at 7:37 pm #195224Personally, I didn’t think there was anything really wrong with it. It was a tangle from spaghetti. There were 2 on Iheanacho. Slow mo replay a bit deceiving re Varane.

2nd April 2022 at 8:00 pm #195225The guy I was watching with used to play for Middlesbrough. It is becoming a non contact sport.
Still there it is. No goal!_____________________________

2nd April 2022 at 8:22 pm #195226Yes, you’re right Adlab.
Possibly we seen today 2 examples of VAR decisions from 2 different matches:
1) Jota manhandled by the Watford defender as Clear and Obvious
2) Iheanacho involved in a wrestle which was more in my eyes 6 of one half a dozen of the other
In lower leagues realistically play would have flowed without any official intervention.

2nd April 2022 at 8:41 pm #195228I just hope Anthony Taylor is not the Referee for Next Sunday. Most of the other guys are generally good.

3rd April 2022 at 5:03 am #195231In isolation, I don’t have too much of an issue with the goal disallowed. However, when you compare it to other VAR decisions this year, I do. VAR this season, IMO is at its worst. I actually think there are fewer shockers this season with VAR than in its inauguaral seasons, but they’ve now had time to bed it in and we are back to the original problems with refereeing that we had pre-VAR. Inconsistencies! Compared to so many other VAR calls this season, that goal should have stood. Would that have been the correct call IMO? No, but at least it would have been consistent.
Similar with the potential red card on McTominay. I see no difference with the Allan sending off v Newcastle a few weeks ago. Ref gave a yellow, then VAR interfered and upgraded it to a red. IMO, McTominay’s foul was exactly the same as the Allan one, yet two completely different outcomes._____________________________

3rd April 2022 at 7:56 am #195232Maddison was big enough to admit in his post match interview despite his disappointment anywhere else on the pitch it would have been a foul on Varane.

3rd April 2022 at 8:50 am #195233Ye thought it was a foul myself nine mate.
Enjoyed watching Leicester yesterday
Huge difference between the two teams. No idea what utds plan or set up is . Constantly changing. I think rashford has everything in him to be a really top player. Heβs lightening quick. Great right foot etc but he just looks so sad. I hope the guy is ok as he looks quite down constantly on the pitch
