24th April 2022 at 6:25 pm #195654Got a bit worried there, but Origi delivers again. Everton must be looking into the abyss now.

24th April 2022 at 6:32 pm #195655Everton are going down with Watford and Norwich. There really was only one team in it. But if I was an Everton fan I would be really pissed off with everything. Poor team and an unconvincing manager. The bias on Sky was nauseating if you are an Everton fan. Lowlife Carragher and Souness as “experts”. It’s the same when we are on. Maybe you get Lescott in the studio. Still that’s unimportant.
All to play for. A slip up will decide it._____________________________

24th April 2022 at 6:36 pm #195656Adlab, it is wrong to have Carragher doing these games. Sky are basically turning it into a fanzone commentary.

24th April 2022 at 6:37 pm #195657Good substitutions and timing of them as well on the hour to change the game. Looks like we went gung-ho 4-2-4, and rightly so to break their parked bus. Gordon was a handful for us and we’re lucky to get away in not conceding a pen.
Atwell did a decent job to be fair handing out minimal cards and taming the heated altercations.
It will be a sad day when Origi leaves us, but what difference did he make today? Vital. Being only a point behind, as you were and another huge 3 points.

24th April 2022 at 6:42 pm #195658I’ve said this before, the mix in the studio is wrong. Souness should be given less opportunities. Carragher and Tyler of course will annoy opposition, but it’s Sky that hold the monopoly. The only way is to mute the tv and have radio commentary on but it’s unlikely the 2 different mediums are synchronized.

24th April 2022 at 9:55 pm #195662Nike..it is a continuation from the Lawrence/hansen days. There should be neutrals in the box in these games

25th April 2022 at 9:41 am #195663Haha, Brian that is true and I remember from the early 90s when the BBC screened either live FA Cup or the UEFA Cup. Admittedly I liked Hansen and Lawrenson when they teamed up with Trevor Brooking in the studio.
Good studio pundits in their heydey. Carragher is Carragher and he’s clearly still affiliated with Liverpool so he will show emotion. During live games, they need somebody neutral in as a co-commentator.

25th April 2022 at 7:04 pm #195667Nike…have to admit I liked Lawrenson and Hansen…they talked good football sense and impartial as far as I can remember..Brooking..useless like most of to days lot. The worst of the lot and I can go back to year DOT. is Linaker, Shearer capable of talking sense until he plays board games in hindsight, same could be said of others as well. Some go on talking about things not related to the match they are supposed to be covering, with the early broadcasters you missed nothing that was happening on the pitch. The best commentators I ever heard was Glendening and John Arlott plus maybe the old Test Match team when cricket was cricket.

25th April 2022 at 10:11 pm #195670Not watched the game tonight, but that appeared to be a hard-earned point for Leeds.
Jesse Marsch’s first game in charge after taking over from Beilsa ended in a 3-0 defeat at the expense of Villa, but since then, they are now 5 unbeaten. 3 of those results have been wins.
Bamford is highly missed so the goals are relied more from the midfield or young Joe Geldhart.
But as far as trying to maintain top flight status, they are slowly moving in the right direction.

26th April 2022 at 12:16 pm #195674“It was a penalty,” Lampard said after the match. “If that was Mo Salah at the other end, he gets a penalty.
“You don’t get them here (Anfield). That’s the sad reality of football sometimes._____________________________

17th June 2022 at 2:52 pm #196678Net spend. Over the last few years we have not made major sales like Coutino or Hazard. I think this could well change this window
