It’s very different from the Scottish League.
We are now 5-1 up clawing back some of the goal difference. 4 for Jesus!

23rd April 2022 at 6:33 pm #195632Just got in so not seen or followed any of today’s action other than finding out the results. Reading comments on here from a consensus point of view, I appreciate why the word poor is being used to describe teams or a team.
The standards for what you would expect to see as a Top 4 team is effectively below average. 11 defeats. I think that was always one of the arguments for allowing a 4th place team in England a Champions League place, but then I wonder is there better quality of standards in Europe? Personally I don’t have knowledge to answer this.
Chelsea to be fair to them are generally good with only 5 defeats all season. The others on the other hand remind me of the season Leicester won the PL Title.

23rd April 2022 at 7:34 pm #195634Worst decision today was arsenals third goal. Niketh was clearly blocking de geas view. De gea had to try to look around him. Ridiculous decision
Great 1st season for Brentford

23rd April 2022 at 7:37 pm #195635Arsenal against chasing Man United and West Ham are in the box seat with 60 points.
Spurs held but only 2 points behind the Gunners with the same amount of games played.
West Ham really need a big result at Chelsea if they are to hold onto those hopes. Man United equally need a big result at the Bridge. Chelsea themselves won’t want to lose to any of these or drop points.

24th April 2022 at 11:40 am #195639Watched the United game again. What is the point of VAR as it is now. It seems to have lost sight of its purpose, looking for clear and obvious errors. Not looking at the minutiae of every goal just in case one player brushes against another.
It needs a serious revamp.

24th April 2022 at 11:50 am #195640I don’t disagree Adlab. Was a calamity of errors yesterday, all in Arsenal’s favour.
Spurs have now played 180 minutes, 2 full games without a shot on target against 2 teams in the bottom half. Is Conte the master tactician we keep being told he is?

24th April 2022 at 11:54 am #195641Thought Utd unlucky yesterday. Score flattered Arsenal but that is the way it goes sometimes

24th April 2022 at 12:24 pm #195642Iβll give conte until next season to judge him Ed mate. You can at least see what he is trying to do. Let him build his own team. Thatβs a really shit squad he has. You can see the way he is trying to play
Arsenal have a manager there 3 years, spend loads of money and had his own team
Utd look as clueless as the day ole left with no distinct way of playing after 6 months there. At least at spurs you can see the plan. Not great at all but more progress at spurs in 6 months then utd and utd have a much better set of players on paper.
Letβs see how he gets on next season and what he does in the summer. He had a back 3 that includes dier and Davies π. Alison how is Emerson royal a professional football. He really has some terrible players there at the minute

24th April 2022 at 12:43 pm #195643They’ve been absolutely awful Sean at times. Not a single shot on target against those two sides is really poor. He’s got the most productive strike partnership in PL history. Never mind the defence, I’m talking about their inability to do anything going forwards. Him and Arteta get a free ride with the media. No idea why!

24th April 2022 at 12:53 pm #195644Conte needs big bucks to spend so he couldn’t suit Spurs less. Suspect he’s there until a money club comes calling. As for Arteta, the team have no real established stars with quality to compete at the top – as I said, they seem to have deliberately only targeted youth and potential – so would a bigger name manager get much more out of that team?

24th April 2022 at 12:56 pm #195645Just seen those highlights. No problems for me with any of the decisions bar maybe Ronaldo’s second which looked to me onside. VAR is often critically spoken about, but if we didn’t VAR then we would only have to opportunity to review incidents after the game and it would be too late to change anything.
Fernandes was architect of his own penalty miss. I don’t like it when players stroll and try and trick the keeper in that fashion. United were unlucky and maybe the game could have finished as a draw but Xhaka’s finish rocked the Emirates and maybe the Gunners deserve their victory.

24th April 2022 at 1:10 pm #195646People forget Conte was backed in January also. Bentancur and Kulusevski were two quality additions. Really like Romero at the back too and Dier is solid without being spectacular. He’s fine in a back 3.
You may be right Mikus re Arteta but Arsenal were the biggest spenders in Europe this summer. Potential or not, they’re a poor side.

24th April 2022 at 4:47 pm #195647Everton are allowing Liverpool to come on to them , blocking the space in front of the penalty area. Big mistake given Liverpool forwards. However, what do I know.
Also I wish Garragher would shut up. Why oh why do they have the “expert” being an ex player of one of the teams._____________________________

24th April 2022 at 4:50 pm #19564817mins gone Everton have hardly touched the ball. Do you know I think they have gone backwards under Lampard. A bit more fight maybe but little idea. That’s why they are now in the bottom 3.

24th April 2022 at 5:24 pm #195650Timewasting dirty b@skets! I hope they go down. They have no intention other that to stifle out 90 minutes. Dirty Richarlison with his playacting and Gordon too.
Frustrating to say the least!

24th April 2022 at 5:35 pm #195651I agree they’ve gone backwards under Lampard Adlab. They were poor under Rafa but they’ve somehow got even worse.

24th April 2022 at 5:49 pm #195652Pen? Seen them given as they say! Not for me though the Liverpool player just brushed his arm and nothing. TAA only second yellow! Bit more ambition from Everton this half but Liverpool will still win two or three.
