Sean, I feel that way too about the Hammers. Hope they go all the way.
They need to win today if they’re still want to try and get 4th. Those teams in the mixer interestingly are throwing points away. It’s uncharacteristic too.

17th April 2022 at 1:55 pm #195509Adlab that back line yesterday still cost more than probably any other defence in world football that played at the weekend. Ake 45m (?!), Cancelo 65m, Stones 55.6m (from transfermarkt in euros). Think Zinchenko was a tiny amount but the other 3 are top tier transfer fees.

17th April 2022 at 2:44 pm #195511For me it was the midfield where the game was won. Thiago was superb.

17th April 2022 at 3:36 pm #195512It just feels absolutely wonderful Three P’s seeing Tiago really established and playing the way he has done this season without the injuries. He links well with Fabinho. I think he’ll be the guy to take over once Milner hangs his boots up.

17th April 2022 at 5:29 pm #195513The difference in quality between the semi final yesterday and the one today is massive.

17th April 2022 at 6:41 pm #195515Ed, I know it must be hard for you and the Utd supporters, but whoever gets the 4th highest points does desewrve, it as they come 4th.So often when a big team has an off season all of a sudden the league is crap bar 2. Ciao

17th April 2022 at 7:17 pm #195517Good to see you Shiney. Obviously the league table doesn’t lie and whoever gets 4th deserves it in that respect. My point is that nobody seems to want it this season and nobody is showing any kind of consistency.
Spurs, Arsenal and Utd have all been rubbish and whoever gets it, it will feel like more a case of the others bottling it than anyone achieving anything by getting 4th.

18th April 2022 at 9:43 am #195521Absolutely hate playing Chelsea and city. Really tough final but really exciting time for us reds.
We just need to keep going. We are in a remarkable place at the minute but itβs just one game at a time. Our biggest rivals tomorrow and the place be rocking. Another huge week for us.

18th April 2022 at 4:06 pm #195523Sean…I do rate Chelsea, certainly the best team in London and a serious challenge to City and Liverpool. The costs of City’s team raised its head again but to me..it proves one thing, if it was not already known…Money does not buy everything, it is an established fact of life.
It may well be worth reading John Ruskin’s view on costs though. I always applied it in my business even when I had no money!!!!! If I could not afford to buy it then I would have to do without!!!! I certainly think City have it inscribed in there operation_____________________________

19th April 2022 at 7:58 am #195526Horrible match for us tonight. Our main hope of goals, Ronaldo, just found out he lost his newborn child so even if he plays, you would expect his mind will be elsewhere. No idea who will play up top if he doesn’t. Could be worse than the match at OT, the way the sides are currently playing. Might just watch the snooker instead π.
We have a few key players out but I’d be kidding myself if I was going to use that as an excuse. Next season can’t come soon enough for me!

19th April 2022 at 8:06 am #195527Cheslea are pretty much points-wise and consistency-wise where we were at the same point last season. Better than the rest but nowhere near the top side(s). Neither City or Liverpool lose that game at home to Brentford where Chelsea were well beaten. They’re miles off the top 2. That’s not to say they can’t beat either on their day but then a few sides can say that. A one-off cup final anyone can win. The fact Arsenal and Leicester are the two last FA Cup winners is evidence of that.

19th April 2022 at 8:15 am #195528Still nervous about tonight Ed. On paper we should win all day. People give Fred and mctwoniey stick but they are the legs in midfield and will be missed. We just need to keep going
Chelsea should have beaten us in the carbao cup final. They were the better side. I hate playing them. All the games are going to catch up on us sooner or later. Hopefully thisgo stays fit as heβs becoming so Important to us now.
Our best midfield now is Keita, thisgo and fabhino but can see hendo starting tonight. Another huge game .
I think rashford starts tonight and utd will get chances in behind us.

19th April 2022 at 9:16 am #195529I’d be the same Sean if the roles were reversed. You beat us plenty of times when we were the superior side through the years so you never know. Hard to see anything but a Liverpool win but stranger things have happened.
