Adlab, in essence yes, which the second half pretty much accentuated. From a United point of view, nobody really to take stake of any authority and dictate or at least drive leadership. I liked Fred in the first half. Surprised at Van Bissaka.
There’s just more or less a ‘means to an end’ as passive play. You can’t just past time and live in hope for a mistake and counter solely, especially if you’re not defending well. Some out there say it should have been more than 4-1. Perhaps that was flattering.

6th March 2022 at 7:56 pm #194747Utd gave up as a few pundits have said. Did well first half but then just gave up after the 3rd goal. Pathetic and shameful really

6th March 2022 at 8:17 pm #194748City different gravy today and played like the Champions they are. Could have been a lot worse for United had it not been for De Gea.
City had an unlikely blip v Spurs I can’t see them having too many of them between now and the end of the season on current form I don’t think there will be much in it but I think Liverpool will probably have to win at the Etihad to win the title which is not impossible but it will be very difficult.

6th March 2022 at 8:20 pm #194749actually thought City had the whole game under control, United had a bit of the first half but never really threatened, there goal was also against the run of play, sort of unexpected.

6th March 2022 at 8:39 pm #194750Brutal post match analysis from Keane but he’s not wrong.

6th March 2022 at 8:40 pm #194751From a Liverpool point of view which should materialize soon, we’ve not really been allowed to level out properly. If we play our game in hand, that’s just met with Man City playing their fixture as run of the mill.
It would be a fortune to be allowed to level up hopefully winning our game, then being first to play and win and be level just to see how this would shake up the old psychological battle.
Slightly like 18/19. Next season we’ll take the Title if we don’t this season.

7th March 2022 at 12:31 am #194752It’s not often that I agree with Roy Keane as I think he just wants to be an arsehole for the sake of being an arsehole most of the time, but in this case, he is spot on. This Man U side is full of soft c0cks! No fight in them whatsoever. If it ain’t easy, they ain’t interested. It was the same under Ole.
The pallying up to the City players at the end was not a good look. This is a derby! If you compare it to the Merseyside Derby this is woeful. Man U are Everton right now. They are not at the races and can only dream to be in the same league as City, but you know what when it comes to the derby, Everton at least bring desire and fight (see Pickford assault on VVD (not condoning it)). Liverpool players and fans know that game is going to be a fight because Everton are not going to lay over. This Man U era are a joke. They need some real generals who are prepared to go nasty if the need be._____________________________

7th March 2022 at 7:51 am #194753That was dreadful in the 2nd half yday foxy. Peopl give Fred stick but at least he works hard and tries. Pogba should have been sold two years ago. Just lazy. The issue at utd is the players. Shocking stuff

7th March 2022 at 8:06 am #194755“The issue at Utd is the players.” Not just the players imo Sean the hierarchy messed up by bringing in a man who wasn’t a Manager but a Sporting Director who has only managed in 2 of the last 10 seasons his last season being in 2018/19.

7th March 2022 at 8:14 am #194756But nine all of these players have been the same under previous managers. They donβt know what it means to play for a club like utd. It seems that way.
Not sure anyone would do any better with these players mate

7th March 2022 at 8:17 am #194757Congrats to Adlab & Co on here. Never in doubt. Utd awful. The summer can’t come soon enough. I’d already given up on top 4 but yesterday was the nail in the coffin. I honestly think it will be a blessing in disguise as the likes of Ronaldo will have to go. Hopefully Ten Hag comes in with a lot leaving this summer and sets about building something for the long term.

7th March 2022 at 8:24 am #194759Nine, it’s easy to criticise the appointment of Rangnick but it’s not like there were 5 elite managers all sat waiting for the call but Utd chose to call Ralf instead. Who should they have got instead? Rangnick coming in to eventually take up a position higher up as well as help identify the new manager is not the problem here. He probably isn’t good enough to manage Utd but he was seemingly the best available and the long term plan with Rangnick was more important than just finding another short term manager. Looking over at Conte, who was the only other option, I’m delighted we didn’t go for him. Steve Bruce? Allardyce? Who else should we have gone for?

7th March 2022 at 8:26 am #194760City completely schooled Chelsea twice Sean. The European and World Champions. They can do that to any side. The fact Liverpool are keeping up with them is a testament to Klopp’s ability. Like you say, they really should be walking every competition they’re in with their squad.

7th March 2022 at 8:39 am #194761Just watching the game for the first time this morning.
20 mins gone. Pogba not mentioned once and the other noticeable thing is the lack of running from Utd midfield.
I also get the feeling from comments, although I might be completely wrong, is that the Ronaldo injury was expedient as he did not want to be on the bench.

7th March 2022 at 8:39 am #194762I really think the dressing room is the biggest problem at Utd. Players not getting on. Cavani turns up when he wants and collects his 250k a week. Pogba busy thinking about his summer move. Lingard pissed off because he didn’t get his move in January. Players baffled at Maguire remaining as captain. Ronaldo carries an aura and ego and has sky high expectations of his teammates while he himself fails to deliver.
With all Lingard, Ronaldo, Cavani, Pogba expected to leave this summer, I think that will really allow the new manager to build something fresh.

7th March 2022 at 10:01 am #194763To many big egos Ed and need someone to really come in and crack the whip. Just get them out and give the new manager time to build his side.

7th March 2022 at 10:43 am #194764It’s all well and good making the point of Manchester City able to wipe the floor with everyone but for me, they can still be beaten. Whether or not false with the games in hand, it wasn’t so long they had a 11/12 point lead.
They haven’t won the Champions League. With Liverpool and with the squad and the football they’ve played and the number of games won, pundits have argued they should have more trophies in their cabinet.
We may not win the league, but here’s the thing: we can challenge them and nothing stopping anybody else. If you’re faint hearted, you may as well stay at home.

7th March 2022 at 10:45 am #194765With United for me, it’s the same drum being banged with players and management. Best thing that can happen is for the Glaziers to sell up.
