Absolutely no way would I write off ciry. Still moving the ball so well but for once their issue seems to be lack of goals. That’s usually never a problem
Chelsea and spurs playing very well and I think utd will get going like last jan at some stage
Football is all about the fans but it’s been a very entertaining start to the season without fans. Going to be a great day when stadiums are full again but I’m enjoying all the football so far

23rd November 2020 at 8:42 am #170758Sean@9:27pm yesterday no worries mate things often get lost in translation on here. 64 games unbeaten at Anfield never looked in doubt yesterday. Chelsea’s record of 86 games unbeaten at the Bridge ironically under Jose is looking very vulnerable.😊
I’m very impressed with Jota again yesterday obviously I saw him at Wolves and he looked a decent player but he’s playing at a completely different level now be difficult to shift him if he keeps playing like he is. Up front Liverpool are very scary. Cheers 9’s

23rd November 2020 at 9:28 am #170759AnonymousWith the amount of games we have coning, we’ll use Jota to rest one each week I’d say.

23rd November 2020 at 10:52 am #170763AnonymousWhen I saw it live, I didnt think it had crossed the line. I was surprised when it came back showing that it essentially had. Usually it’s the other way ’round. We think it’s over the line but isnt etc…

23rd November 2020 at 11:13 am #170764Cherry’s nine mate. 86 games is some record. Chelsea were like a machine then. So hard to beat at the bridge. Think it was liveroool who broke the record with Alonso deflected goal. Was it scolari in charge then?

23rd November 2020 at 11:30 am #170765Sean, pool indeed were the team to end chelsea’s streak, here’s hoping we can return the favour this year 🙂
Pool were on another level yesterday mate if any team can beat that record its this pool team under klopp.

23rd November 2020 at 11:49 am #170767Sean, you’re right it was Scolari in charge then. The run started under Ranieri, Jose carried it on and was in charge for the baulk of those 86 games then Grant and yes it was Alonso who scored the goal that broke the record run which went in off Bosingwa’s shoulder.
It didn’t look like that 86 game unbeaten home record would ever be beaten but it might be now.😊

23rd November 2020 at 12:16 pm #170768To my memory in Jose’s first season when he won the title I think he only lost one game at home which was to Man City – I could be wrong though.
Old Trafford for years was the hardest ground to get anything in the late late 90s and 00s.

23rd November 2020 at 12:22 pm #170770A very impressive liverpool performance, if they keep this up over Christmas until well in the new year they will be the front runners again. The league is more competitive now so the game up to Christmas will be more than interesting

23rd November 2020 at 12:34 pm #170772These post match interviews from Klopp on the match scheduling now doing the rounds (they weren’t broadcast for obvious reasons). I know we’ve touched on this issue before, but regardless of how much footballers are being paid, they ain’t half being over used here to keep everyone entertained. On the flip side, I do think Liverpool having to play younger, perhaps hungrier players actually helped us yesterday. But even so, I do still sympathise with Klopp here. The scheduling has gone too far…
Jurgen Klopp on injuries and the broadcasting schedule.
This part of his interview wasn’t aired by Sky, probably because he was speaking absolute facts.

23rd November 2020 at 12:45 pm #170774Nil that was away, anelka penalty, Jose didn’t lose once at home in league during first spell.
Mikus, of course klopp is right mate, we had a problem with fixture congestion when everything was normal, this season is barmy and exceptions should be made imo

23rd November 2020 at 12:51 pm #170775Unfortunately once you’ve eaten from the masters table then you are beholding to him, he who pays the piper and all that
Not overly sure it’s all down to the broadcasters though, we had a late start and we have to finish prior to the delayed Euros…..Pagan

23rd November 2020 at 1:11 pm #170776That’s because of commitments to Europe. It’s the itinerary though to be fair, our match on Weds is at home. He needs to basically leave Friday to get to Brighton and stay overnight (assuming that’s what the team will be doing).
I imagine that’s what Klopp is miffed about, but it comes with the territory and it’s TV money for the club.

23rd November 2020 at 1:17 pm #170777It’s tricky because BT tend to schedule their games lunch time and Sky tend to have more of the evening time slots.
5:30 would have been a bit better for us with same day travel.

23rd November 2020 at 2:17 pm #170779Pagan is spot on.
The TV broadcast times are well known and the TV monies Clubs receive is huge.
Liverpool are fortunate they have a home CL game on the Wednesday before facing Brighton for the lunch time game on the Saturday.
Chelsea had a 4,000 mile plus round trip to Krasnador on the Wednesday and had to play Burnley on the Saturday at 3pm .
The main problems this season are no pre season, a condensed season, uneccesary internationals and limiting teams to 3 substitutes.
I can’t see too much difference between a 12:30pm ko and a 5:30pm ko a team would travel on the Friday for the both.
Neither Broadcasters would agree to a clash of ko times for televised fixtures to suit the Club’s anyway.
