22nd November 2020 at 9:11 pm #170730That Truly was a Stella Performance Tonight from The Reds – Absolutely Delighted 🙂
We Polished off Leicester given we were injury hit. All the Negativity talked up, it was soul destroying. We’ve answered them all and banished. Clean Sheet too.
Joint Top and We can hope to really kick on in our Quest to Defend our Crown.

22nd November 2020 at 9:12 pm #170731We are nine first choice centre backs out abd right full mate or was that said in jest ? Apologies if so mate . Just look at our bench .
Best performance of the season. Shoujd have won by a lot more. Delighted Bobby scored abd a great game from Curtis Jones who is only 19.
A lot of injuries but we have a very strong squad. Keita out now for a month so hopefully Hendo and Thiago be back
Live watching us play like that. Brilliant stuff .
Clean sheet aswell. Perfect performance

22nd November 2020 at 9:16 pm #170735Sean, it was meant as a compliment mate. Meaning Liverpool look just as strong even with the injuries.
I thought the second para confirmed that. My bad.😊

22nd November 2020 at 9:33 pm #170738Sean, Matip is a very calm head on the pitch. Fingers crossed he can get some sort of run going.

22nd November 2020 at 9:44 pm #170739AnonymousMatip has been brilliant the last few matches, perhaps our best player over them all. He’s in the conversation anyway. The thing is, we’re really in it when he does get that inevitable injury. We need a miracle from him, just get us to January. great to have Fabinho back for this, with Thiago coming back as Keita hits the physio room. Are we really losing much there though? Keita just can’t stay fit, so we shouldn’t count on him.

22nd November 2020 at 10:20 pm #170744Would be good to see Stevo but since he aint around I can’t hurt his feelings by saying How shit are arsenal? omg at least under wenger even at the end they could score goals, if emery was in charge spotlight would be on him but arteta is killing all creativity in that team. Worst arsenal I have ever seen.

22nd November 2020 at 10:32 pm #170747Yeh Lucky I thought Arteta would start to turn the corner but he’s hasn’t. And this stat is pretty damning and backs up what you say…
Arsenal managers after 29 Premier League matches:
Unai Emery – 57 points
Bruce Rioch – 48 points
Arsene Wenger – 48 points
Mikel Arteta – 46 points pic.twitter.com/1oNUzvtPkC— Amazon Prime Video Sport (@primevideosport) November 22, 2020

22nd November 2020 at 10:59 pm #170748I will point out here for the purposes of fairness that Klopp only had 47 points for his first 29 games at Liverpool, although context is also key here and there was clearly an identity with the team and the players knew, understood and were enjoying playing the football they were being coached. And a consistenty was developing. So far this season Arsenal have lost as many games as they’ve won. They’re all over the place still and the players don’t exactly look very happy.

22nd November 2020 at 11:29 pm #170749Wonderful performance from Liverpool tonight, bearing in mind the loss of 3/4 (absolute) key players. Their pressing when out of possession, their movement when in and their pace of play is untrue – are they powered by Duracell? Much credit goes to JK, imo.
On the evidence so far this season, we are light years behind Liverpool and Pep has some serious thinking to do, just to finish in the top four.
Did we let David Silva go too soon? Stats don’t lie – last eight games of last season (with him) Gf 27, Ga 2; first eight games of this season, Gf 10, Ga 11.
Very early days but it looks like a long barren season for us._____________________________

23rd November 2020 at 12:10 am #170751Mikus, if klopp had aubamayang when he joined pool he would have done a bit better earlier on I would think and you could see where he was trying to take the team.
Arteta hasn’t failed yet but don’t smell good to me mate

23rd November 2020 at 12:28 am #170753Anonymous“On the evidence so far this season, we are light years behind Liverpool and Pep has some serious thinking to do, just to finish in the top four.”
Klopp deserves massive credit for manag8ng to put together a really strong 11, I watched some of the City V Spurs game and the bench City had was kinda nauseating in a way but of course they have some players back from injury, or maybe Pep has just had enough of Aguero for whatever insane reason. Jesus is a very decent player but Aguero is of course a PL legend, who I myself would do whatever it takes to give him more minutes.. and maybe he just couldn’t but look, that nonsense aside, I wanted to remark on what are understandably negative emotions, City are definitely going to challenge. They might not look like it now but I am almost certain that they’ll finish above Spurs. Jose has won the PL a few times, so I wont write him off but it’s going to take a while for our clubs to find their feet and in a way their identity. I won’t get ahead of myself and say we’re going to do anything but I saw the title winners of last season in that match.
Let’s not read too much into a single game though as we often wallop Leicester. We’re just better in the press than them and we have better options and delivery. Ok today our delivery was not as good as usual with Trent not being there and Milner moving to midfield really limited things in that regard but I was surprised that Williams did as well as he did… you still wouldnt say it was above the average PL standard but he’s just a young lad.
Im going all over the place here but my point is that City will find their feet. They will start putting 3, 4 or 5 past teams and everyone will fear them again.
To the Liverpool fans here, yes it was a scarily brilliant performance today but let’s manage our expectations. We need the gap we have over City now because their squad will come into play as the fixtures stack. This scenario falls right into Peps hands. He already loved to rotate and he has the best resources in the PL for what is now a forced rotation situation.
anyway though, great games this weekend. I really loved the bits and pieces that i saw.

23rd November 2020 at 5:11 am #170755It’s amazing how tight the points difference is, every week teams could catapult each other from top down to about 14th place. It is strange times we living in more ways than one, wonder what’s next on the horizon.
