Lucky, let’s be honest none of us have a clue beyond Ole being in big trouble and it can’t go on like it is Ole currently enjoys limited support from the fans and allegedly some players are questioning his tactical acumen.
It’s not beyond Ole staying on if he changes tactics and United go on a winning run but currently that looks unlikely and the next 3 games could be decisive. Time will tell on what happens. Personally I hope Conte doesn’t go to United because imo he will fix them.

Lucky, a couple of pages back, you were saying watching Chelsea under Conte in his second season was like pulling teeth. How can you then question why Utd would hesitate? I get that he’s better than Ole but it’s not as obvious a decision as you make out for the reasons you outlined yourself.

No Ed I know why utd might not want him just saying its a different question to whether he wants them, as all the reports seem consistent that he wants them. Did not say at all that I don’t know why they might hesitate.
His second season with us wasn’t pleasant at all but was worth employing him in first place for the title he won. Would you take that to avoid another decade without a title?

You’re asking if I’d rather have him for one good season or risk going without another title? There’s zero guarantee he’d win us a title. It’s a stronger league than the one he managed Chelsea in. So if we’re not guaranteed that 1 amazing season, but pretty much know it’ll fall apart 12months down the line, is that worth it? It’s a huge gamble and one Utd are right to hesitate over.
In their position, I’d be looking for someone a bit longer term. I’m not saying that manager exists but that doesn’t mean we’re prepared to risk the collapse in 12 months for 1 potential title.
