“Sad thing is that utd may get a proper manager in now and start playing to their potential ”
Ya, sorry about that!
Ed, as sad as you feel now, at least you might get back on track as a result of it.
How many managers has Klopp put the final bullet in now at Liverpool? There are a few anyway.

24th October 2021 at 7:02 pm #187223AnonymousGJBlues, I think Klopp left him on to keep his run of form going. I probably would have taken him off too BTW. I guess with the Preston match coming, Salah will get a rest and mane will start that. What i dont agree with is Klopp dropping Mane when he was doing quite well. He was clearly frustrated when he came on.

24th October 2021 at 7:03 pm #187225Great win for Liverpool. Utd, well hard to describe that non performance but if Ole goes, others must follow because this is not down to just one man. It appears to me, whoever comes in with this squad will also have a difficult job.

24th October 2021 at 7:04 pm #187226Anonymous“Neville ripping apart utd strategy and mentality but not once mentioning ole! He is making me cringe to the point of anger listening to him right now ”
His backhanded support for Ole is making me sick to the stomach too man. He is however a Sky puppet now and that’s what people seem to want.

24th October 2021 at 7:08 pm #187227It’s hard to argue against the signing of Ronaldo. But you got the impression that Ronaldo made the move happen as opposed to Utd making it. He wanted a last shot at a big club in a big league and Utd probably felt they couldn’t turn him down. But City seemed quite happy not to take him, which is telling. Almost a bit of the Sanchez move about it, even if Ronaldo is scoring. So I think they’re letting players get the better of them.

24th October 2021 at 7:09 pm #187228AnonymousBrian, the panel are picking apart his triggers (or lack there-of) for pressing and it’s pretty damning. I will mostly disagree with you in saying that it is must down to one man, because he instructed and picked that team. I said earlier in the game that he could play van de beak, or whatever his name is. The guy was brilliant for Ajax, yet cant start here? he has pretty strong defensive qualities, which seems to be what that Utd midfield needs.

24th October 2021 at 7:10 pm #187229AnonymousCity were mad not to take Ronaldo, Mikus. They are at least a complete team who could have thrived with Ronaldo. This though…

24th October 2021 at 7:14 pm #187231AnonymousGonna rule Utd out of the title anyway. If they get someone special in immediately, you never know but it would be an uphill battle. Fire Ole now, give the new lad the season to get mhis methods across. ignore this moron Neville, who is really only backing his buddy. Ole isn’t good enough. You know something is wrong when pretty much all other fans are hoping he stays in the job. FFS cop on.

24th October 2021 at 7:14 pm #187232Maybe Mak, but the point is you have to use Ronaldo, not let Ronaldo use you. Utd have let Ronaldo completely use them.

24th October 2021 at 7:19 pm #187235Mak, I’m actually fine. I predicted this and it’s actually quite a relief that it was a complete hammering as it may speeden what we’ve all known is coming for a long time now. Say we’d lost 2-1, with Liverpool just edging it, there’d have been some excuses and it would have been easy to just carry on blaming bad luck. This leaves no room for any of that.
My 5 a side team won anyway. Will take anything I can at the moment π

24th October 2021 at 7:20 pm #187236There neville goes again, two top managers failed so why think we need a top manager! That is as stupid a comment that a fan on the street could make let alone a professional pundit paid millions.
He is currently criticising Jose as a failure when he actually won trophies! Imagine what he could have done with backing ole had! Van gaal won a trophy too FFS Gary you are embarrassing beyond belief right now!

24th October 2021 at 7:30 pm #187237The mistake they canβt make is to install Conte but then ask him to respect and play the βUtd wayβ.

24th October 2021 at 7:35 pm #187238Point taken about the probable midweek break for MS, Mak. However, the point I made was that to leave him on with United flying on to tackles (‘heads gone’) – think they got another 2/3 bookings after PP was sent off – it was a no brainer to take him off. Can only think it was an oversight by JK. BTW, I do appreciate it’s hard to criticise a manager after you’ve just won 5-0 away at United π

24th October 2021 at 7:38 pm #187239I’ve said it before and, while I don’t think he’s a Klopp/Pep level manager (who is?), Zidane is the best one to get the most out of the current group. Whilst I think Conte is more talented, he’d fall out with everyone, bore us with defensive football and there’d be another revolving door of transfers to get a Conte side together. The big characters in the squad have either played under Zidane or wanted to (Ronaldo, Varane, Pogba).

24th October 2021 at 7:41 pm #187240That said, I genuinely don’t think he’ll lose his job just yet. We may all be treated to a City hammering at OT before that becomes a possibility

24th October 2021 at 7:49 pm #187243Gi Blues, a valid point raised on MS. There were players of theirs taking more bookings and you’re right in context of our important players that already were forced off with injuries.
Apart from the Ronaldo moment, we didn’t really take our foot off the pedal and maybe, the aura (once we sensed the points effectively were in the bag) was to make a statement.
Did you sense any similarities mate of this against the 6-1? The players too that day just kept on going such as David Silva and Edin Djeko.
