Pagan true mate. Very Good Guy. He brought in players during his time, but once Abramovic had come in, he had his own ideas – fair dos. You won back-to-back titles and the rest as they say is History.
Cheers

7th November 2020 at 8:36 pm #169817Really like ziyech. Excellent player lovely left foot
Nine, 99.9% correct but itβs ruining the game for me. Di you celebrate goajs now or hold back as you know some check might come in?
Itβs really shite as a fan abd itβs ruining the game. They are checking for everything
Itβs rubbish. It really is

7th November 2020 at 9:01 pm #169820Sean, Ziyech has a wand of a left foot and he will only get better as he gets fitter and everyone gets used to playing with each other with that in mind I don’t think we’ll see the best of Chelsea this season until the second half of the season.
Wouldn’t disagree with anything you say re VAR especially about not being able to celebrate the goals.
I’m still smarting about the Chelsea goal v Liverpool at the Bridge being ruled out for Mason Mounts big toe being judged offside 5 passes after the goal had been scored.π
But it’s incredibly accurate probably too accurate. As I’ve said before, with VAR offside is offside it’s the most accurate part of VAR we’ve got and it won’t change this season.

7th November 2020 at 9:02 pm #169821AnonymousYou need var to check tight decisions, human eye can not catch everything failure

7th November 2020 at 9:39 pm #169826Sean…just wait until the American Corporations take over the game, which will be sooner than we think, wholesale changes and just about everything about the historic game will be gone No more dreams for smaller teams they will not be allowed to get anywhere near the chosen few. My interest in the game will go with it because Cannot see any advantages it would bring, one thing it will bring, the and, one way or another, will have to pay more. The FA have a lot to answer for now they have capitulated

7th November 2020 at 9:48 pm #169829All we can hope is if the Americans take over, they charge way over the odds for everything, the whole game collapses and we can press the reset button…..Pagan

8th November 2020 at 8:34 am #169832Ye nine. Enjoyed watching Chelsea and they have so many good players that they are only going to keep improving
Var has not improved the game. Itβs made it worse . You just sit there waiting
Itβs really taken the enjoyment out of football and some of the decisions (not including offside) are really simple basic calls being called wrong
Itβs here to stay but nearjy every game as some kind of bad call
Some clear fouls arenβt even being looked at. Itβs ridiculous abd itβs ruining the game

8th November 2020 at 8:36 am #169833Not confident about today. Would take a draw now. Hopefully itβs a decent game without any controversy
Just hope we can defend abd not make any silly individual mistakes
We need the front 3 to be clinical today . We will need to score at least two to get anything from the game

8th November 2020 at 9:38 am #169839I’d take a draw, Sean, but I’m sure we’ll be competing and we’ll be going in with confidence. Mo I’m sure will be up for this one.

8th November 2020 at 12:41 pm #169843AnonymousJust leaving this here, there were no highlights of this bit of skill from the weekend. The Sheffield player is still asking where the ball is…

8th November 2020 at 1:06 pm #169844The thing is even if Martians were in control of the PL we would still have VAR love it and few do or loathe it, it’s a FIFA iniative and is active in every major League in the world, in all UEFA competitions and the World Cup it’s not going to go away and the best we can hope for in relation specifically to offsides is that they tweak the rules for next season perhaps basing offside decisions on where the feet may be.
I don’t disagree with Sean outside of offside which like it or not is 99.9 accurate there are too many mistakes but that is down to human error rather than VAR itself and those operating VAR does need to be worked on.

8th November 2020 at 1:22 pm #169847It’s not a ruling I agree with. It makes no logical sense! Gravity begins from your feet. If your feet at the very least are in line with the opposition player’s feet, that’s not offside at all. You can’t score effectively (apart from your head) using other body parts.
Certainly no skin off my nose, but this really is absurd to see as fan of the game. It’ll happen to another team, then another till Managers etc finally stand up to the Authorities making these nonsensical rulings.

8th November 2020 at 1:30 pm #1698509, just because FIFA say something does that means it has to happen? That would mean the top clubs in Europe just need to get FIFA/UEFA permission to start a super league and thereβs nothing anyone can do to stop it…..Pagan

8th November 2020 at 1:33 pm #169851Nil, despite what others on here say the system isnβt accurate enough for the measurements weβre using. Even if we go with foot position itβs still a best guess to when the ball moves forward…..Pagan

8th November 2020 at 1:34 pm #169852Nil, current offside ruled say that a player can score with their upper arm. utilising what I said above re the feet which is not new proposal would reduce the majority of questionable offside decisions imo but if it were to happen it could t happen until next season.

8th November 2020 at 1:50 pm #169853Late late goal. I don’t think the Baggies deserved that as they’ve been resolute 2nd half.
