18th September 2022 at 4:51 pm #199134The reality is we have 7 games on the board. Not sure whether more could have been played or whether that’s about right against the time elapsed against the season start time, but I’d say 6 or so teams have hit good form and picked up points where as Liverpool for example only register 2 wins.
First win for Everton today. Maybe Lampard’s job for now is safe. Gotta feel for Rodgers. Such a fine line but the world of difference of 1 win and 3 points which is all Moyes has but his team right now in the brown stuff.

18th September 2022 at 6:32 pm #199136West Ham have not been too fortunate, most of the games they played well but have been unlucky, I’m sure they will start picking up points soon.

19th September 2022 at 8:16 am #199139Big win for Frank yesterday who seems to have built up a very good relationship with the Everton faithful. A real chance he can steer them to safety this season.
Very good win for Arsenal who look certainties for a top 4 place this season.
Wonderful ball from Xhaka for the Jesus goal._____________________________

19th September 2022 at 8:17 am #199140BREAKING NEWS!!! A journo nobody has heard is sure Conte is packing his socks as we speak, he hates the Spuds with a passion (despite his actions on the touchline), and is persuing all options available to him to leave Spuds and return to Juventus… also confirmed by well-reknowned cyber warriors in the UK and Sweden… π
Anyway, despite it being Conte’s last game in charge, a nice topsy-turphy 8 goal thriller at the Lane, a first half we both defences seemingly thought it was Christmas and were doing their best to fill the oppo’s with Christmas cheer, before the Mighty Spurs released their secret weapon in the 2nd half… a hat-trick is a hat-trick is a hat-trick… and three points are three points are three points in the Premieriship’s “Race 4 2nd Place!”

19th September 2022 at 8:37 am #199143Weird day for sure, a constant in my entire life no longer there. I’m still very surprised about how upset my daughter was about it all, proper tears and everything. Old Queenie it seems, has a bit of a cult following.

19th September 2022 at 8:58 am #199145That’s the weord thing, Shiny, apart from the usual lack of empathy my teenage daughter usually shows (we had a family funeral over here not 6 weeks go, my wife’s cousin, and she didn’t bat an eyelid!), she was born in Denamrk and lived in Finland her whole life… really struggling to understand her “connection” to the Queen and the sudden flood of emotions from her (or maybe its a “build-up” of everything, as her Mum wasn’t very well at all over the summer too!).
Certainly more to life than just football!

19th September 2022 at 10:11 am #199146I’m sure even after today and forever, Tributes will be.
The 3 Lions Badge and England Internationals on Big Occasions and The Christmas Message every year, for practically all my Life.
It will for sure hit home differently for different individuals.
Rest In Peace.

19th September 2022 at 11:47 am #199150This makes me think how we lost a big chunk of the tradition (procession wise) of the FA Cup Final Programme. A whole day used to be devoted to it. Remember Abide By Me?
Plus of course the 3pm kick off. We need these traditions reinstalled.

19th September 2022 at 5:21 pm #199151I had mail from China, a translator I used on my trips there, she was full of emotion and I knew it was heartfelt. Incredible, people from other countries feel this way as well. Nike…I am all for tradition. Abide with me, Brass bands etc. we have lost so much, all in the name of progress…they say!!
I hope King Charles keeps out of politics , like his mum._____________________________
