30th October 2020 at 7:44 pm #169365Sean, yeah True mate.
I think we both share a common ground about the thought fans, but on the flip-side, we’re extremely fortunate for this Sport to be able to facilitate in the first place.

31st October 2020 at 6:10 am #169369AnonymousI’m not looking at a s*n article if I don’t have to. As for football, they dont have to shut it down, they have an expensive system going now where they are pretty safe etc.

31st October 2020 at 8:11 am #169370Mav, why do you think football should stop mate? The guys are super fit and there has been no fatalities ? You are much more qualified then me so just wondering your thoughts mate?
It’s safe at the minute. I know some footballers are catching the virus but I think 90% are asymptotic???
Life has to go on and I think with the football it’s helping a lot of people mentally. It’s an escape at the weekebd etc
Over in Ireland, pubs, restaurants… everything is closed but the gaa is back.
This lockdown is much tougher because of the dark nights and weather.
Thoughts mate?

31st October 2020 at 8:11 am #169371AnonymousMav… Football is a dirty money laundry service…. like Formula 1…. This its about time we stopped selling clubs to overseas investors and purge clubs of the ones they have.

31st October 2020 at 9:37 am #169373I think football should continue without fans attending. As long as players are regularly tested and the clubs and players act accordingly to health guidelines, it should continue, IMO.
As for the games today Chelsea and Liverpool should be able to see off Burnley and West Ham. And hopefully Sheffield United can beat City.

31st October 2020 at 10:55 am #169376We may as well not turn up today with Oliver as referee. How many penalties will he give to Sheffield today?
On a more important note ..hope all are well and families.

31st October 2020 at 10:57 am #169378Agree with Sean’s post re locking down football, football is a great escape for people in these difficult times. Plus we wouldn’t have anything to talk about on here.😊

31st October 2020 at 12:02 pm #169383Adlab, probably no difference between individual millionaires, but clubs like City and PSG are basically owned by states.
And I think there is a very big difference between the US and the UAE and Qatar when it comes to human rights._____________________________

31st October 2020 at 12:11 pm #169385Locking down football will have little or no effect on the virus. Going overseas or overseas teams coming here then I am less sure but the balance of risk is low. I agree it does give a necessary diversion from viruses and lockdowns and not least idiotic politicians.
Talking of which…what a choice Trump or going on 78 Biden! How does the most powerful country in the world end up with that choice? And then you look at us.
We are nearly back to a full team…if we had one fit striker. Aguero or Jesus.

31st October 2020 at 12:23 pm #1693909s-Its not a case of what we want or think, its the situation in general, its either a lockdown for everyone, except the really important services, like health, food, some transport, emergency services, etc,or nothing @ all.Sport is not a service people can’t live without.
