Durlaw should have stopped that from far out plus near to him, goalkeepers have been terrible this season so far with the odd exception

25th October 2020 at 9:32 pm #169137AnonymousNine, it was 100% a peno for Chelsea, absolute BS decision. The fact that these are happening all over doesn’t make them right. What’s happening though is we’re seeing it all over the place and kinda accepting it.
Really as fans of the game we should be protesting the FA/PL or whoever is responsible for this nonsense.
With the sheer amount of BS calls or lack there-of, the game is way too open to match fixing. You could decide the title, or relegation places and get away scot free because of this insanity. It’as like Trump and his lies. he gets way with the most retarded comments because he makes them all the time.
What happens is we get passive to it when really we should be up in bloody arms, cause this is RUINING our sport. I don’t think thats dramatic either, it really feels this way.

25th October 2020 at 9:46 pm #169138There’s sense in Referees Ultimately not standing for their position or simply hold any actual authority besides their attendance.

26th October 2020 at 8:15 am #169142Mak, I can fully accept the Referee missing it he was almost certainly unsighted but not the VAR on their multiple giant TV screens.
Re Trump BBC 2 are running a jaw dropping series on Trump currently never mind the the forthcoming US election it leaves you wondering how Trump is even still in office.
Ironically I think a Trump re-election would probably be best for the UK economically as Trump is far more pro UK than Biden but even so I sincerely hope Biden wins.

26th October 2020 at 9:02 am #169146AnonymousI don’t watch these stations any longer they they so politically biased it makes no sense to watch them, CNN is a perfect example. I don’t like people with trumps personality either but the Republicans are the best bet for us and for the USA.

No imagination or invention going forward. Aubymang isolates our left. Far to negative and over defensive

26th October 2020 at 12:41 pm #169151Completely agree Sean. This theory that “well he worked with Pep so he must be good” was only ever going to get him so far. They’re really not good to watch at all and, surprisingly for “Pep student” play more like Mourinho teams in the big games. Nothing wrong with that at all. I’m just saying it’s not the second coming of Pep as is sometimes made out.

26th October 2020 at 2:51 pm #169152I wouldn’t criticise Arteta too much he’s not Pep mark 2 but I think that’s a good thing he didn’t inherit the squad Pep inherited neither does he have the budget Pep has to play with as he looks to revitalise the Arsenal squad.
Arsenal are a Club in transition and a long way from the finished article but if I was an Arsenal fan I would much rather have Arteta as Manager than Emery personally I think Arsenal are travelling in the right direction Arteta has only been there a few months and he’s won the FA Cup in that time sadly.π
I think Arteta will need a couple of more transfer windows with a bit of financial support before he can be truly judged, Partey looks a good signing and if I was Arteta I would reverse the exclusion of Ozil and give him a chance to rejoin the squad and see what he might be able to add.
Disappointing for them to lose to Leicester last night but they’re a good team with a great striker in Vardy, had Arsenal won last night they would have gone second and above Liverpool as it is they are only 4 points off top spot.
I understand the view about Arsenal not being that attractive to watch but the first objective of Arsenal as a team in transition is to get the points unfortunately they didn’t do that last night.

26th October 2020 at 3:01 pm #16915494% of viewers on Sky Sports voted it was a penalty to Chelsea v United as did Dermot Gallagher.π
Done and dusted now though hopefully the VAR officials learn from the incident don’t make the same mistake again.

26th October 2020 at 3:51 pm #169158Arteta needs time and some backing, nothing to do with “Pep” whatever he has picked up as experience he will know he cannot replicate if he does not have the right players,Personally, I think he left too soon and Arsenal was not the right move for him at the time

But 999, you just know they will – they’ve made mistakes ever since it was brought in, why should it change now?

26th October 2020 at 6:31 pm #169163Hightown, offside excluded we just have to hope VAR’s will react to such obvious pictures in front of them as the Maguire challenge on Azpilucueta was and recommend the Match day Referee goes to pitch side monitor and take a look for himself
Unfortunately pre VAR Referees and linesmen still suffered from human error it’s just moved that problem on to the VAR and we’re still suffering from human error.
I’m not sure how we cut out human error perhaps our expectations of the VAR are too high?

26th October 2020 at 7:11 pm #169164How van they get the basics wrong week in abd week out though nine?
These are trained professionals getting so Many things wrong .
The ordinary fan can see most things even before they go to var yet on a replay they canβt call a simple decision right?
Itβs crazy stuff. It really is how bad it is and itβs really indefensible

26th October 2020 at 7:16 pm #169165One of many glaring errors this season. Not even in doubt though so I’m not sure why there was even a poll about it. I doubt there was a poll about Lindelof’s “handball” or Martial getting a red for brushing Lamela because of Lamela’s theatrics.

26th October 2020 at 7:19 pm #169166Agree with those saying give Arteta time. In fact, give him a 10 year contract please! Joking aside, it does annoy me a bit when the likes of Arteta get massive jobs straight away for no other reason than he happens to have worked under a good manager. Done absolutely nothing to deserve that job.

26th October 2020 at 7:46 pm #169168Arteta shouldnt be compared to Pep,he needs time and support, and unlike Pep,he hasnt spend like 785 trillion on defenders alone.
