I get what he’s trying to claim, but he’s drawing a fricking long bow there. As Hause goes for the header Watkins is not touching De Gea at all and is actually to the left of De Gea. The ball ends up going to the right of De Gea, so Ole is clutching at straws there. He also had a whinge about the Villa players harassing Bruno on the pen.
Searching for excuses in his interview. Seems like the pressure is getting to him to me

It would have been harsh on Villa I think but he’s definitely impeding DDG by backing into him. That’s interfering with play whichever way you look at it.

I’m not sure it shows pressure is getting to him. Whilst he’s clearly not a top level manager, there isn’t a manager in the league who doesn’t have a moan when they lose.

Ironically, it shouldn’t have even been a corner (prior to the goal) anyway as it comes off Mings but it is what it is. Nothing Utd can do about it now. Had we taken our chances, it wouldn’t have been decisive anyway.

Fair play to Villa though. They’ll cause a lot of teams problems this season. Dean Smith has them well organised and they will come out and attack.

Season defining run of games ahead now for Utd. Villareal, Everton, Leicester, Liverpool, Spurs. If we’re still in the mix after all those, he might see the season out at least.

Last points on Utd. Maguire has been very shaky this season.he was brilliant at the Euros but has made a good few mistakes this season. Varane has looked very good but Maguire needs to get some form and stability back.

Also, as I have said many a time, while ever we’re relying on the likes of Fred in midfield, we’ll struggle to control games against good footballing sides and that was the case again today.

That was brilliant from city. The game needed them to score as it made chelsea come out and play. Excellent 2nd half and great to watch . That’s a vintage city performance. Well deserved . Great atmosphere at the bridge.

City were very good today, but given how Chelsea dominated Spurs last week, strange for them not to impose themselves more on the game. It ended up all out attack vs all in defence for much of that first hour.

Tuchel admitted he probably made a mistake in playing Kante today as he has been sick for most of the week it was his energy as the front midfield player v Spurs that turned the game in Chelsea’s favour and that was not in evidence today.

I wouldn’t over analyse the game the reality is City were at their imperious best and Chelsea were way way below their best on to the Juve game now which won’t be easy hopefully we’ll have all of Pulasic, Kante and Mount available.

Nine, what’s the deal with Chilwell at the moment? Is it the style of play or just Alonso’s form that’s keeping him out? I can’t imagine he’ll want to play second fiddle for very long if he has ambitions to play for England.

According to Tuchel Chilwell has had a bit of an overhang from the Euros and his disappointment at not getting any playing time. Alonso up to today has been in good form too, normally Chilwell would have played in a game like today’s as he’s stronger defensively than Alonso.

I think Chilwell is going to have to play himself back in his contract was a 5 year one so the balls firmly in Chelsea’s court.
