Rover, am also surprised also Tuchel didn’t change it sooner. It didn’t need a huge change, it just needed Chelsea to impose themselves more in the game. Now they’re playing more into City’s hands by having to go for it.

We improved our game to day, I was not expecting so much domination but we got the goal and the three points.

A truly wonderful performance by City. Bossed the game from first to last whistle and could and probably should have won by a few more – a 1-0 hammering. Our one touch football and our pass and move were marvellous – City at their best.

Obviously watched the Utd game but the stats suggest City completely dominated. Not a single shot on target for Chelsea at home is not good. Congrats to the City lads.
Same old story for Utd. Tons of shots and chances but lapses in concentration at the back and failure to take our chances up top. We slip up in this kind of game under Ole far too often and I can’t see it changing any time soon. Hard to see Ole lasting much longer without an immediate response in midweek and again at the weekend.
As I said before the game, City being written off way too early and I didn’t think Chelsea would win today. Not at all surprised by the Utd result either.

City had been the better team throughout the game and had the better motivation than us. They were out on a revange mission. And credit to them for nicking this one. So far we have played 4 of the 5 top six rivals, and we have two wins, a draw and a defeat. I would have taken this if i was offered early.
Three of those four matches have been away. I have to give credit to Tuchel for this performances. Overall, i was happy with how we started the season. But i’m not happy with our performance of today. City outclassed us and fair play to them.
Next we need to regroup for the Juventus game.

Foxy, he’s talking about the fact that Watkins was in an offside position when the ball came in and, by backing into De Gea, was interfering in play. Looking at the replay, I can see where he’s coming from but it’s not something I spotted at the time. Too late to moan about it now. We’ve not been getting much going our way from the refs this season it has to be said.
