Banjo, in all honesty I do think it would be nice for him to stay at spurs and become the top prem goals scorer of all time. He doesn’t need a prem title to go down as an all time great, his performances speak for themselves and if he has another 5 years at this level he will have had an amazing career and become a bona fide spurs and prem legend.

The thing is, cyber chum, it all started from on report, which did have the classic βsources sayβ started from SKY on Monday, everybody else is simply reporting that. End of story. Nobody, not even Harry, needs to explain themselves every time whenever some cyber fish wrappings claim anything. The only fact involved here is nobody other than Harry and Levy knows what the real deal is.
Outlets like the Athletic don’t work like that Chucky. The only way this can have been allowed to become such a strong indication of intent is by Kane “allowing” it to leak to the right people. People like Fabrizio Romano don’t just recycle paper talk. There’s little doubt he wants out but he also signed a long contract knowing his chances of winning things at Spurs were slim so I have no sympathy for him if he doesn’t get the move he seemingly wants.

When I look back at the end of my career, these are all the things I’ll go over and take in a little bit more, but the goal right now as a player is to win team trophies. As much as this is great, I want to be winning the biggest team prizes. We’re not quite doing that. It’s bittersweet, but it is what it is.

Sweedy, I tend to have the “Spurs Media Watch” open, which reports all reports featuring Spurs, and it’s quite amusing when somebody “breaks” a story, watching everybody else report the same thing 20 minutes later (before changing two words so they don’t get sued or something!).
Don’t really follow the “Athletic” directly, but on the Spurs feed they weren’t the first to break anything… same with that Fabrizio fella, he was about a day and a half late. π

The above is what Harry Kane said just a few weeks ago and this has been bubbling for more than a year now and allegedly he came to a gentleman’s agreement with Levy last Summer that he would be allowed to move this Summer and the time for winning the biggest trophies is running out for Kane.
The reports are too far and wide credible media sources to make this just rumours and if they were and Kane wasn’t going anywhere Spurs could have come out with a definitive statement which could have put it all to bed as could Kane but Kane has said nothing at all and the Spurs statement said nothing and logically why would Kane want to stay at Spurs for another season if he wants to win the biggest trophies that’s not going to happen at Spurs in the short to medium term
Re Kane coming to Chelsea I think it’s most unlikely there remains bad blood over Chelsea taking William from Spurs at the last minute and the run around Spurs gave Chelsea on the Modric transfer and in 2006 Carlton Cole was going to Spurs and had his medical there before Abramovich stepped in and stopped it saying “we don’t do business with Spurs ” and that’s from Cole himself.
Because of the above although Chelsea might benefit from signing Kane and would probably pay the fee Spurs will demand I’m very doubtful it will happen and I think we will need to look elsewhere.

Sorry Puppy, you’re going to have to highlight where he said he was going to leave Spurs to do all of that… and using words like “allegedly” don’t really help your argument! π

Chucky, like Lucky said time will tell mate and I can understand that you don’t want it to happen but hand on heart even you have to admit Spurs are unlikely to be winning the biggest prizes any time soon and that’s what Kane is looking for according to the above quote from Kane which was captured live on TV.
I think it’s as plain as the nose on Kane’s face what he wants to do but I get why you’re in denial.
What I would say is Kane might want to go and compete for the biggest trophies elsewhere but getting it done won’t be easy and there are less than a handful of Clubs who can match Kane’s ambitions and have the financial capacity to buy him.
And then there’s Daniel Levy.π
But at the end of the day if a player wants to go then it’s better to let them go!

Sean, I reckon Liverpool are all but nailed on for a top 4 place and their good fortune on Sunday underlined that.
Burnley lost 4 nil at home to Leeds at the weekend and Liverpool are a much better team than Leeds even with 8th choice Centre Backs.
I’m pretty sure Liverpool will win both of their games and that Chelsea have to win at Villa to make sure they shut Leicester out.

Chuky….the reason I am against Kane not joining City is because we need to lower our average age, with the type of game we play. Kane is a good player, that is not in doubt but I just do not think he would fit City.KDB, Gungdogam, Mahrez and Fernandinho all at or nearer the end of there time rather than beginning. Replacements have to be found sooner rather than later if we are to keep up the momentum but future stars not the expensive ready made ones. We have played all season without a centre forward, Pep may want to do it again by adding a couple of more like KDB instead, wherever they are!! Personally i think we need one, although we have scored well this season again, the chances missed must be an all time record

Well if utd and city don’t want him where else but chelsea? There is a chance he has no choice but to stay as I really don’t think he would want to join us and barring utd or city who else is there?
