Sean, Chelsea will sell players this Summer as they did last Summer and FFP is effectively scrapped with a new system to be introduced in 2021/2022.

I think the coverage of the Kane situation across all media is now too wide to be just rumours.

Kane allegedly agreed to give Spurs one more season last Summer with a gentleman’s agreement between him and Levy that he can leave this Summer.

Problem for Kane is, is Levy a Gentleman? 😊

I doubt a Gentlemans agreement” will have any influence on Mr Levy, the alleged £150 million or whatever they can get over 100million. better alternatives when you are talking sums like that who are younger and maybe less injury prone next season, I guess that has to be taken into account. Somebody will buy him though.

Sean, I was just trying to explain that currently FFP is not being as rigidly applied with a new system to come in.

Chelsea have never spent £500m in any window and always look to sell to balance spending and that will I suspect continue if we buy a striker we will sell Abraham and as the Ed pointed out even a fee of £150m can be split across the length of the contract so it would be £25m a season over a 6 year contract.

I’m not sure Chelsea are in for Kane or if they are it will happen more likely someone like Lukaku imo. Think Kane might go though this Summer to someone. Cheers 9’s

What a twat of a ref. Gave us absolutely nothing and every dive they get a free kick.
Not that it matters.

I think the Mourinho appointment was another last ditch attempt by a club to try and get the team back up there thinking the Mourinho aura would work wonders. For Spurs it would also help assure the top players there that the team could still compete at the top. But again it’s not worked because he wasn’t really the right fit and now there’s not really any cards left to play apart from new investment which a Kane sale would help to fund.
