As I’ve already said that although Chelsea would almost certainly be interested and could pay the silly money that Levy will want I don’t think he will end up at Chelsea and I would be reluctant for Chelsea to get involved with Levy again.

Was tempted to make a crass comment about “uncle Dave” but I’ve been binge watching 24 hours in police custody and there have been far too many disgusting episodes for it to be funny

So instead …. Nancy if you lost all those players and generated the figure you quote you would also have a much worse team, few players and a very short time to get replacements especially with the euros on plus of course each replacement would be a downgrade because of course it’s levy 😁

Buffy, you’re thinking of Uncle Barry mate, he was the dodgy one…

Anyway, maybe a “re-boot” of the whole team wouldn’t be such a bad idea, half a dozen 40 million pound players to fill in the gaps, with the likes of Dele, Moura, Lo Cecil, Hodge-Podge etc… will still be a pretty tasty side…

And I do still think he’ll be here for one more year! My sauces till me, other than needing more chips, that articles that start with “sources tell me” are generally copypasted from other sources…

Chucky, look at how Spurs wasted that Bale money though. It’s one thing getting loads of money in to spend and another thing entirely to actually spend it wisely. The likes of Lamela, Capoue, Chadli, Paulinho & co were supposed to take Spurs to the next level (Eriksen the obvious exception).

Spurs will have to be very careful about getting the right manager in regardless but ,especially so, if Kane leaves and there’s a huge amount of cash to spend on new players.

Maybe a freebie or small purchase of ancient Brazilians from Chelsea who were past their best 2 years before we bought them!! While also clearing the wage bill at Chelsea

Big game tonight. Too many permutations for me to care who wins. I’m more concerned about Liverpool doing a job tomorrow as we don’t look convincing at all

Sean re FFP, it simply won’t be £150mil. Nobody would pay that in this climate. Not a chance. Say it’s as high as £120mil though. Over a 6yr contract that’s £20mil a season. It’s really just about priorities. A lot of clubs would be able to afford that if they could prioritise his signing. 20mil a season is the difference of selling an extra couple of academy players a season for a few years.

There’s zero chance of Utd prioritising a striker though when we’ve just extended Cavani’s deal. There are too many other positions which come before getting another striker.
