“Harry Kane has informed Tottenham Hotspur that he wants to leave the club this summer, with Premier League trio Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all expressing an interest in his signature already. Sky Sports News reports that the England captain has told his club he wants a move when the transfer window opens and Spurs have already started looking at replacements. The trio of United, City and Chelsea have all been in touch with Kane’s representatives, CK66, letting them know of their interest in the 27-year-old this summer. While Spurs would prefer to sell their star striker to a foreign club, Sky Sports report that he would rather stay in the Premier League. He would also like his future resolved before the European Championships start on 11 June, although that may well prove difficult. Manchester City will be losing Sergio Aguero at the end of the season, with his contract expiring, and are keen to replace the Argentinian. Manchester United were thought to be looking at other positions after extending Edinson Cavani’s contract at the club, but have long held an interest in Kane. Chelsea have the likes of Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud as their forward options, but Kane would be an opportunity to upgrade on all of them. While those three Premier League outfits are the first to express an interest, the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona could still come in for the forward, although they will struggle to afford the price tag, which will likely be at least £100m.” The Metro

I think Kane will probably want to go but I think Levy would rather throw himself off the the top of the Shard than sell Kane to Chelsea.

Levy usually adds a Utd premium whenever we try to sign anyone from them (ever since the Berbatov deal) so I can’t for the life of me see him going to Utd. It will be Chelsea, City or abroad IMO. No way Utd can afford the kind of fee Spurs will be asking for. Especially after signing Cavani.

People forget we pulled out of the Sancho deal last season as we couldn’t/wouldn’t go to that kind of fee so we certainly won’t be doing it for Kane when we have someone in that position already. As always though, it’s handy in any negotiations (for the selling club) that Utd are seen to be interested as it keeps the price up.

Yeah there’s been a mention of Jesus/Martial part exchange but I actually think the most realistic is Tammy Abraham plus money for Kane. Suits all parties.

“Think utd are the only ones who could afford Kane” I think there are 3 Clubs who can afford Kane Sean United, City and Chelsea the one Levy would most dislike to sell Kane to would be Chelsea although that might suit Kane the best at least geographically.

£150m for a player with glass ankles is a bit of a worry but Chelsea need a goal scorer and he’s probably going to be the best available this Summer.

Buyer beware though when trying to deal with Levy.

I’m not sure there’s much between Utd and Chelsea Nine in terms of Levy’s preference. There’s no secret about the fact Levy avoids doing business with Utd at all costs after we took Berbatov off them. City surely the only option here in the PL then.

As much as Kane supposedly wants to stay in the PL, I really don’t see how he can, unless it is indeed City. PSG with Poch, surely the best bet abroad, particularly if Mbappe moves on. Varane to Utd/Chelsea, Mbappe to Real, Kane to PSG? Real would likely need to sell more than Varane to be able to afford that in any case.

As you say Nine,. £150mil is a hell of a lot of money. The only players to be considered for those kind of fees are those like Haaland/Mbappe who have massive resale value. Just can’t see anyone going to that kind of price, which begs the question of why he’s come out with it as a move looks so unlikely in the current climate. You’d have to assume he has something already lined up.

Anybody who believes “unknown sources” is on the sauce… 🙂

I’ll just mention a couple of quotes from the man himself a couple of weeks back, admittedly don’t remember word for word but they went something like this…

“Right now, I’m concentrating on having a strong finish to the season with Spurs and then the Euro’s, then I’ll sit down and discuss things”

and

“there’s still plenty of time for me to win things”

Of course, the cyber new warriors might not want to mention these actual quotes in their cyber fish wrappings as that isn’t quite the click-bait they’re after, and naturally, things may have changed over the last few weeks, but my money is on him waiting to see who the new manager is… don’t forget (and I’m being optimistic here!), we’re still the 4th highest goalscorers, and have the 4th best defence in the league (as shite as it has been), along with dropping 20 points from winning positions… keep (and play!) Bale, get a couple of decent CB’s, and have one last season playing in front of crowds… I think we have one more year of Super Harry!

And if we don’t, it won’t happen till after the Euro’s, and it will cost City a fooking huge wedge!!

Why don’t you think he’s come out and said it’s a load of rubbish then Chucky? It’s not like it’s contract renewal time and these rumours are good for leverage in that sense. It’d be a perfect opportunity for him to say “don’t believe everything you read” or something of the like.

The only “truth” out there (you can thank Moulder & Scully!) is that nobody actually knows except Harry, Harry’s brother, their pet tortoise Alan, and possibly Danny Levy… (and of course, Mr. U. Source!)

I thought the Spurs quote re all this was flimsy Kane wants to compete for and win the PL and the CL that’s a guarantee at City whether Pep will be prepared to get City to pay the silly money Levy will likely ask for him is another thing but someone might Kane has said he wants to win trophies and with the best will in the world over the next few years that’s unlikely to happen at Spurs bar maybe a domestic Cup.

A quality appointment as Manager and a significant transfer budget could settle him down but Spurs are struggling to find the right Manager and realistically without they sell one of their big players they will probably struggle to find a significant transfer budget.

I doubt this will get sorted out pre the Euros and it will probably run through the Summer.

I don’t think these are all rumours and I do think Kane wants to go this Summer realistically given all the circumstances the best outcome imo is almost certainly to let Kane go to try and fulfill his personal ambitions for Spurs to get the very best price for him they can invest it wisely and turn the page. But this is Daniel Levy we are talking about.😊
