What’s the odds in United turning around a 1-0 deficit with a pen? (touch of sarcasm ;-))

9th May 2021 at 3:22 pm #178900Spuds had a Sat, Tues, Thursday, Sunday run earlier this season, and we managed to knock out Chelski in the League Cup and beat YooUtd 6-1 at their patch for the last game in that little run, suggest YooUtd quit their bitchin’ and get on with it!Β π

9th May 2021 at 3:29 pm #178902Not at the business end of the season though Chucky and all in the PL where it can effect other Clubs too but you’re right United fans played their part.

9th May 2021 at 3:33 pm #178904Don’t matter what part of the season it is, they ain’t the first to “suffer”, and they kinda brought it on themselves anyway, never had a lot of sympathy for YooUtd anyway (in case you weren’t aware π ), but have less than zero sympathies for them for this…

9th May 2021 at 3:44 pm #178905Utd are so consistent lately I took dog for walk after lunch with villa leading 1-0 I knew by the time I got back utd would have turned it around
Chelsea and utd not far off being able to really challenge. Next year could actually be competitive!

9th May 2021 at 3:54 pm #178907Standards in general have been below average; lagged yet trying to compete essentially with what we’re seeing, a basketball match.
Where’s the midfield? Bit fed up of ‘high press high press’.
Teams too have themselves to blame for throwing away leads.
And in reality, City really weren’t challenged. Liverpool just went into freefall after December.

9th May 2021 at 3:55 pm #178908I think Ollie tried to buy that pen. Harsh to be leaving the pitch.

9th May 2021 at 4:33 pm #178913I don’t begrudge City their title they’ve been excellent from Christmas time and deserve it but like Nil I don’t want to see one horse race processions in the PL but as Lucky saysΒ it could be competitive next season dependent on success in the transfer market by the chasing Clubs and that would be good for the PL imo.

9th May 2021 at 6:29 pm #178916Another result in Liverpool’s favour so thankyou Everton.
Textbook goal you have to say and Calvert-Lewin timed his run perfectly.
Still a very tough run for us and I don’t feel as confident when there are 10 players showing the injury list.
Strange season as we’ve all agreed all along, but in perspective, grateful we’ve been able to keep the sport alive under the Pandemic.

10th May 2021 at 8:15 am #178918Ole confirms he will play a weakened team in one of United’s two midweek games my guess is that that won’t be v Liverpool but v Leicester with both games having a bearing on the CL places.

10th May 2021 at 9:52 am #178920Yeah I don’t think it makes too much difference to Utd either way. We have top 4 secured now so it’s easy enough for us to just play a second string side in one of the games (probably Leicester).
I’m sure Utd would secretly like to stop Liverpool getting CL (over Leicester or West Ham), given a choice, as they’re much more likely to be shopping in the same pool of players as Utd.
Looking like a real season of progress for Utd. Lost the fewest games, biggest points gain from last season (+12),unbeaten away from home (only been done by 2/3 teams before). Hopefully going to be a few teams challenging City next season.

10th May 2021 at 11:06 am #178921I don’t think teams are going to get that close to MoneyBags next season, they’re going to go out and spunk a huge wedge for a new striker and if they get Super Harry Kane (or Stupid Hairy Kunt as he will forever be known as!), nobody has a chance. On the other hand, if they get Haaland or somebody like that the best the rest of us can hope for is they take a while to “bed-in”…
“Best of the Rest” is the only title up for grabs.

10th May 2021 at 11:15 am #178922But Chucky, Pep said they “can’t afford a new striker” π No I agree. Best any of the rest of us can hope for is to close the gap a bit more each year.

10th May 2021 at 11:22 am #178923And we know what a load of old pony that is, Sweddy!! Unless somebody else “hires” their “Creative Accountants Specialists” there’s more chance of me getting a date with Dragontits than there is of being a two-plus horse race after Easter… (Buffy, can I borrow your Friday Night Pants? Promise to clean them before sending them back!)
