Friday Night again this week with a game as Leicester host Newcastle at 8pm.
In short, a good spread of matches to really look forward to as we’re now entering the closing stages of the season.
Manchester City can clinch the Title tomorrow evening should they beat Chelsea at the Ethiad.
An eye too on the movements surrounding those all important Champions League Places.

7th May 2021 at 9:29 pm #178820Looks like an uncharacteristic done deal at the King Power
3 for Newcastle; can’t believe.

7th May 2021 at 10:04 pm #178821Well looks like Leicester are throwing top 4 away again. Their league stats read W19, D6, L10 which indicates they don’t draw enough games in that they either live by the sword or die by it. Indeed last season they won the same amount of league games (18) as Man Utd, but Man Utd got top 4 because they didn’t lose as many and drew them instead.

8th May 2021 at 8:05 am #178823Considering Leicester now have Utd, Chelsea and Spurs in their last 3 games, this was an absolute must-win game for them.
Fingers need to be pointed at Rodgers if he lets this slip again. That would be consecutive seasons where they’d have let a massive points advantage over other top 4 contenders slip.

8th May 2021 at 10:36 am #178824Yeah Ed, a real possibility of Leicester losing all 3 of their remaining games, plus with an FA Cup Final to play.
West Ham realistically still look the more better proposition to tilt the current standings, maybe Spurs.
Credit to Newcastle, though they lost last week to Arsenal on their on patch but now 1 point away from safety.

8th May 2021 at 11:08 am #178827Unlikely result last night that’s opened up the race for 3rd/4th place given Leicester’s run in and Evans is nursing a niggling injury too?

8th May 2021 at 12:22 pm #178829That was good for us Spuds, the Brown Ale Boyz did their job!
Now it’s up to us to keep up our end of the bargin.

8th May 2021 at 1:23 pm #178831Can’t complain at HT, Leeds have been slightly better, not sure how VAR had Harry off or not, I guess the “on-field” decision stood. Still feeling we can turn this around, get the feeling Leeds are playing about as good as they can get (which is pretty good, have to admit!) but we Spuds haven’t really hit top gear yet… a lot more to come from us, hopefully!

8th May 2021 at 2:16 pm #178835As I said on the top 4 thread some time ago, I think it’s going to be another race not to get top 4 this season.

8th May 2021 at 2:33 pm #178837Leeds away is a much tougher nut to crack than Sheffield United at home where Spurs looked impressive.
Top 4 looks a difficult ask for Spurs now and will Kane stay without CL football?
He’s contracted to but it’s difficult to hold on to players especially top players if they decide they want to go.
A new Manager if Spurs can get the right one could make a difference but times running out for Kane to win trophies.
I think Spurs problems probably start at the top with Levy and seemingly he’s not going anywhere.

8th May 2021 at 4:07 pm #178839I’d laugh but I still get neck ache looking up the table so it’s somewhat redundant

8th May 2021 at 4:13 pm #178840Over to you Mr Levy, not surprisingly Spurs totally outplayed by Leeds from the first minute to the last, years of poor decisions in the transfer market or no transfer market for 18 months has left this team looking average at best.
I would imagine Kane, Son etc are waiting to see who the new manager is, if Levy goes for the cheap option , which he always does , they will jump ship and I would wish them well.
Young Ryan learnt a tough lesson today, he got the team selection wrong , should have put Bale, Aurier and Lo Celso on the bench, and started N’dombele , Moura and Taganga at RB .

8th May 2021 at 4:21 pm #178841Steveo, let’s be honest neither of our teams are any good, it’s now embarrassing to watch Spurs shambolic efforts and until Baldy and Joe sell up things ain’t going to improve.
I walk around the new ground and think if he’d just kept it very good rather than amazing ,we would have had £250m to improve the team, you must be loving it, as it’s exactly what happened to Arsenal

8th May 2021 at 4:24 pm #178842It’s looking like nobody wants top 4 🤔. Whoever can put a little run together will take it but time is running out.
