What a cool finish. Liking Havertz a lot – maturity for a young player.

2nd May 2021 at 12:42 am #178446Big match ahead United and Liverpool. Has to be a must win Liverpool or they are done for top 4. Lose and 7 points behind Chelsea with 4 to go might be at least a point too many to reel in. Chelsea also have a 6 goal better goal differential. Never thought I’d cheer on United in anything ever but, well, there you go.
Another point is that Liverpool winning hands City the title and may make Chelsea’s trip to City a more attainable challenge to earn at least a point. Our other tough match coming up Leicester I am confident of accruing points and Arsenal, well, surely a gimme 🙂

2nd May 2021 at 11:29 am #178455C67, realistically, it’s a very big ask when there’s essentially no Van Dijk and Henderson. Rashford most likely will do a number on Trent because he will allow himself to be exposed.
I don’t want to sound pessimistic – far from it. I’ve seen these type of matches before. We don’t have the greatest of records at Old Trafford.
Games like this needs a strong astute playmaker/dribbler like Phillipe Coutinho which I still feel we should never have sold. Tiago not that type of player.
Bruno Fernandes, Edison Cavani. These are good players, real players which we need to be able to contain.
United have been solid and hard to beat. I’d take a draw now if offered.

2nd May 2021 at 3:34 pm #178463Nine, I’m actually supporting them in their overall intent. It may disrupt proceedings etc, but the Fans are rightly going voice their hurt and feelings from recent events.

2nd May 2021 at 4:09 pm #178466The protest will make no difference whatsoever. Street protest is a demonstration of powerlessness, not strength. And in any case, when it comes to football, owners know fans will always support the team no matter what. The main reason why the ESL fell flat on its face was more to do with the media & government pressure.

2nd May 2021 at 4:14 pm #178467Nil, given United knew it was going to happen Security wise they should have been better prepared and fans shouldn’t be in a position to get into the Stadium.
Today’s protest from United fans goes much deeper than just the ESL the ESL is just a catalyst and United fans have been against the Glazer ownership for a long long time now and they want them out of their Club.
Currently a doubt the match will go ahead at best it will be a significantly delayed ko.
I agree though everyone has a right to protest whatever their gripe as long as it’s done peacefully and within the law.

2nd May 2021 at 4:31 pm #178468Suggestion is a two hour ko delay but the game being postponed has not been ruled out because getting the players into the Stadium will be a task.

2nd May 2021 at 4:45 pm #178469The area overall looks to be clear. I don’t know if the Players will still be geared up for this in light of what’s taken place and it’s highly likely they would have seen pictures etc.
I think we’re looking at a 6pm kick off.

2nd May 2021 at 5:11 pm #178471I question if they are real fans. peaceful protest OK but this just tarnishes the club they are supposed to love. Glaziers will sell….in there own time and the price is right. I do not like to see this though because it serves no purpose, just makes matters worse.
