Everton have been deducted another 2 points for a further breach of the PL financial rules.

8th April 2024 at 3:40 pm #213725I was going to start a thread, but there seems to be a trend; Forest, Leicester, Everton, yet Man City seem almost untouchable. What’s going on?

8th April 2024 at 3:55 pm #213726I personally wouldn’t place any extra weight of expectation on Mainoo, but certainly is a prospect for the future. What I do notice rather than overall team place is segments from different areas of the pitch and duel pockets, e.g Rashford-Mainoo or Antony-Garnacho or Maguire and Dalot. Ten Hag hasn’t pieced togeher properly team play. It’s in patches and the tactic playing counter-attacking football and low blocks strips away the identity of Manchester United (as we know it) entirely.

9th April 2024 at 11:42 am #213727So Amorim is the new Liverpool head coach, good choice considering there’s not available talent in the managerial area.

9th April 2024 at 11:50 am #213729That official, is it? Big boots to fill, that’s for sure… could he be an Angie, or will he be a Conte?

9th April 2024 at 1:02 pm #213731Liverpool have been discussing again with his agent, they cannot approach him directly that would be tapping up. A fee also needs to be agreed with Sporting and as they don’t like doing business with Liverpool (or just Klopp?) it’s likely to be the release claus in one go. That won’t happen until the season has ended.
Still it is looking almost nailed on he will be the new Liverpool boss. Going to 3 centre backs as Amorim has played all his (short) managerial career could be a bit of an adjustment.
Also sounding like Salah will be off to Saudi, so a big summer coming up for us LFC fans.

9th April 2024 at 2:14 pm #213732Is he a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 type, or 5-4-1 or 5-3-2?

9th April 2024 at 2:37 pm #213733Just on the title chase, it’s not inconceivable that 2 teams at the top finish level on points, goals scored and goals against (look how similar goals for & against is with Liverpool & City). Then it’s a playoff for the title at Wembley isn’t it? Oooooof.

9th April 2024 at 3:09 pm #213735Release clause seems to be the only thing left to be addressed. Also it seems Allegri is leaving Juventus in the summer, add Conte to the mix, and most probably Poch too, and so many managers out of work and available.Hope ten Bob too.

9th April 2024 at 4:06 pm #213736Pretty sure Conte is about 99% nailed on for the Napoli gig…

9th April 2024 at 9:04 pm #213753Surely ADL would have appointed him by now.
