7th March 2021 at 6:20 pm #176415Disappointing but it will tell them its not over yet even with a fourish game cushion.
Well done Ed. Enjoy the moment.

7th March 2021 at 6:30 pm #176416Sean. There’s no way they will get rid of Klopp. But he must be very concerned as to whether he can rebuild this team. Maybe back to Germany?

7th March 2021 at 6:32 pm #176418I must say even for my arch rivals, this outcome is truly refreshing and a huge Well Done to Manchester United. Phenomenal achievement by Manchester City prior to kick off, but the Red Devils themselves have grown stronger and stronger over the last several months and I’d confident tip them to be one of the Candidates next season to challenge for the League Title.
Fernandes outside my own team along with Bamford have been one of my favourite players.
Shaw had an excellent game and Van-Bissaka at right-back understated.
Well, even the T-1000 is Human after all π

7th March 2021 at 6:40 pm #176421Cityboy….the only thing missing to day was a striker and Foden and Bernado should have started. Previous games neither Sterling or Mahrez haven’t played well enough against Utd and it was the same again to day
Game over, move on to Wednesday and Southampton who are just above drop zone so expect more of the same. I think they are a decent side as well_____________________________

7th March 2021 at 7:07 pm #176422Why are all the Irish papers wetting the selves about Uniteds win ? Sean why is this. You can see it on Newsnow.
Is it the perception that United are the Catholic club? I thought that had long disappeared. Perhaps its the same as the Celtic syndrome. Or am I just wrong. Interested in everybody’s views_____________________________

7th March 2021 at 7:14 pm #176423Adlab…Historicaly right but the game has moved on and I think it is no longer the case except in Scotland…that will never change but following has changed here. I always remember my old teacher was an EX Irish City player and bussy of Matt Busby….think they may have played together in the City team pre war, he never had a word for City, I was the only one in the class that supported City…. I was never a teachers pet!!!!! haha

7th March 2021 at 7:21 pm #176425Commiserations to the City lads on here and huge respect for all your comments. We just wanted it more today. For some reason, Pep has often struggled against Utd at home since he came to City. I think that’s our 5th win out of 9 away derbies since Pep came in, also drawing one.
That said, the only record that means anything is the trophy at the end of the season and nothing is going to stop City lifting another deserved league title this season.

7th March 2021 at 7:30 pm #176427It could be just psychological hold. Although United themselves have lost to City, they can pull out a Win and Convincingly too.
I can’t remember what season this was in particular but at half-time, United was 2 or 3 goals down and the offering/odds were something like 66/1 and United came back and either drew or won the game.
Just a comment and reflection. I hope Pep and Players won’t be too hard on themselves.
League is still firmly wrapped up.

7th March 2021 at 9:16 pm #176441I know it’s a big shout but is Luke Shaw the best left back in the league right now? What a resurgence from him this season.
He’s surely edged ahead of Chilwell now in the England side and there aren’t many better than him in the league on current form.

7th March 2021 at 9:27 pm #176442Without a doubt Ed. Heβs always had talent but he could never stay fit
Shaw is one of utds most IMportant players now . Is this season the most heβs ever been fit since joining utd?
Chilwell has done ok. Nothing spectacular and shaw miles ahead of him at the minute

8th March 2021 at 11:02 am #176448It was an interesting transmission of the game whereby United stood tall and wanted to impose their authority from the start. The early goal I felt changed the dynamics as City have been used to behind behind early. KDB didn’t have the best of games (to his standards) There was more aggression from United. Full marks to Keeper Henderson and as mentioned yesterday, Luke Shaw; real sense of leadership
Refreshing for us Neutrals to see a different outcome.

8th March 2021 at 12:50 pm #176449Would have been interesting to see how the game developed without the stupid penalty they Jesus gave away. Good wake up call for City though that I’m sure Pep will utilise to their advantage going forwards.

Shaw had a good game yesterday and most certainly has been playing well in recent weeks. Shaw or Chilwell? Difficult. At the moment Shaw edges it.Looking at the press this morning City have collapsed and United won the league!

Adlab, that comes with the territory of being the top dog. You’ll get used to it! The more you win, the more headlines it makes when you lose. There’s been so much coverage about City trying to get this consecutive wins record that it was always going to make headlines when their local rivals were the ones to stop them doing so.
