Delighted with first half but not as optimistic as the pool lads are pessimistic, I still think pool can turn this around and won’t be happy until we get another or ref blows final whistle

4th March 2021 at 9:31 pm #176299Draw I think the best we can hope for Lucky. And probably need Jota on if weโre to get that.

4th March 2021 at 9:45 pm #17630167 minutes gone 0-1.
What is wrong with Liverpool. I can’t put my finger on it. Its not just lack of CBs. They seem to be chasing down blind alleys. Also the final ball is very poor. I think they need to keep hold of the ball for longer. They keep losing an attempted long ball._____________________________

4th March 2021 at 10:16 pm #176305Adlab thatโs it mate. Injuries are not the problem now. We are just poor in general. Sane midfield every game when itโs clearly not working. Love klopp but heโs having a nightmare at the minute. Bizarre decisions and crazy subs
Full credit to Chelsea. Got ahead then played the game out very comfortably
Excellent passing from the back and tuchel got it spot on.
Mount mom. Really danger. Well done guys fully deserved

4th March 2021 at 10:24 pm #176306Sean, I wouldnt question klopp mate he is a genius compared to me so don’t get me wrong here, but I do wonder why he hasn’t changed the system to accommodate for missing players and loss of form
The 343 we are playing for example could take pressure off make shift centre backs, allow Robertson, TAA, mane, firminio and salah all to focus on their attacking game. Just one possible change,
He did play a kind of 424 against city on first game this season but other than that it always seems to be 433 regardless of who is available right?

4th March 2021 at 10:30 pm #176307Ah lucky klopp will always have my support no matter what but we are fans. We just express opinions but I agree with you
We keep playing 4-3-3. Teans know what to expect every week. We picked the same midfield again which had been poor for weeks. We keep doing the same things
The high line is a disaster without vvd so why kept persisting with it. Werner very unlucky to be off and mount gets in because we are so high
Iโd never question klopp but heโs making bizarre decisions at the minute. Itโs not working. Try something different
What gets to me the most is, itโs dreadful to watch. We were never going to score tonight

4th March 2021 at 10:30 pm #176308I think because the front 3 have stayed fit, Klopp has kept the same system in place, hoping weโll still be able to to get something out of games. But bar Salah, they are woefully out of form, as are many other players. But he should have been looking at other options by now.

4th March 2021 at 10:35 pm #176309Yeah I agree sean and mikus too
Hard to judge from outside and so much to deal with for klopp this season.

4th March 2021 at 10:54 pm #176311The way we played tonight, we were never going to find the net and Chelsea deserved their win. I knew when Mount was on that run he would cut in and unleash one.
There’s no Leadership and Communication on the pitch. Kabak has added no stability to our defensive problems, but instead adds to the risk in addition to factoring our high-line. Trent: I don’t even know what he actually offers because he too can’t defend. Fabinho looks lost and poor Robertson is run ragged trying to pick up the pieces. What confidence does this all provide to Alisson?
I’ve never seen 5 straight defeats in my entire life from this club.
The way we are and have been, this is no longer classified as a slump, but a decline. We don’t deserve even a Top 6 finish. There are other teams are more deserving such as West Ham.
I’d add Chelsea and they deserve Top 4. Tuchel’s raised those players a level or two higher and he’s getting a tune out of those players. Well Done and Congrats Blues fans on here; enjoy the Weekend ๐

5th March 2021 at 10:59 am #176314Nil – can I just say how refreshing it is to read one of your posts after a Liverpool defeat, and for it to be insightful, well written and sporting. Gone are the days of the Nil foul mouthed rants. Well done, sir, keep it up.
Perhaps I’ll have to take over and issue the foul mouthed rants! What the f*** is going on? I know there are injuries, but if everyone was fit, probably only VVD, Hendo and Gomez would have been different in tonight’s team. The issue for me is that we have a whole team playing so far below the level they have shown the last couple of years, and Jurgen appears unable to change it. How does the saying go? The definition of madness is when something doesn’t work, just keep trying the same thing over and over again. I would hope to see some radical changes for Fulham at the weekend, with Keita, Jota, Shaq, Millie and maybe even Tsimikas starting ahead of any of Trent, Robbo, Thiago, Gini, Sadio and Bobby. Partly because some of those players need a rest, and partly because they are so woefully out of form. Something needs to be changed and quick!

5th March 2021 at 11:37 am #176315Couldn’t believe Klopp took Salah off when Liverpool needed a goal.
Tbh Klopp does look a bit “lost in France” currently. I’m sure like me most Chelsea fans breathed a sigh of relief when Salah went off because although he wasn’t lighting Anfield up is always capable of conjuring up a goal from somewhere.
A very good all round team performance from Chelsea and as Carragher said he’d never seen any other team bar City come to Anfield and play like Chelsea did.

5th March 2021 at 11:38 am #176316If you have a relatively small group of first team players over several seasons, they are eventually going to feel untouchable. Even last season, there were times the front 3 were inconsistent, but they were still the first names on the team sheet and they knew it.
Players like Jota were signed too late. He and at least another attacker should have been signed over recent seasons and gradually introduced. I know the counter argument to this was that it may have upset team harmony and it would have been difficult to find someone willing to come to sit on the bench. But Jota was very happy to come potentially knowing that. Our stock couldnโt have been higher, we could have attracted many players to come. But it was ok because we had our โmentality monstersโ. And therein lies a big part of the problem. The club got too carried away with itself and took their eye off the ball in terms of the longer term.
