Happy Weekend! With the Sunshine coming through our neck of the woods, it feels as though we’re finally seeing the end of Winter and the emergence of Spring 🙂
League Leaders Manchester City kick the fixture list off entertaining in-form West Ham at the Ethiad. I see nothing but 3 points and an 18th straight win for the Blues. They are edging closer and closer to the Title.
Good Games from elsewhere. I’m trying not to see despair as far Sheff United-Liverpool go. A 5th straight defeat and we’re looking at a realistic prospect of not qualifying for Europe entirely.
We shall see over the next 3 days or so. A good spread of matches so Enjoy!

26th February 2021 at 2:23 pm #176072Surely United are due an away defeat soon and Chelsea do owe them one but it won’t be easy I would happily take a draw now as well as on Thursday!😊

26th February 2021 at 3:45 pm #176076Nike, the way West Ham are performing they could get a draw or even sneak a win. They will be rested for this but I expect City to make changes from the mid week game. Clean sheet required

26th February 2021 at 4:36 pm #176081Fortunately Brian City have plenty of points in their pocket.
If City turn up as usual I can only see another City comfortable win.
I think Peps plan will probably be to accumulate as many PL points as possible pre the Qtr Finals of the CL so he can rest some of the most important players in PL games prior to the CL Qtr Finals and hopefully for City the CL Semi Finals.
People remember the trophies won and not the points accumulated and a PL & CL double maybe even more with the domestic Cups is definitely on with a bit of good fortune. Cheers 9’s

26th February 2021 at 4:55 pm #176084Agree with Rodgers letting fans in for the last game of the season will affect the integrity of the season. Let’s play this one out now without fans and if safe welcome the fans back from the start of next season.

26th February 2021 at 5:11 pm #1760859, by that logic the integrity of the season has already been affected as some games have had fans already this season…..Pagan

26th February 2021 at 5:23 pm #176089Yeah didn’t agree with that either Pagan but not in the numbers we would see for one end of the season game and not in one final game which could effect European places and Relegation places.
Hopefully the PL are smart enough to say no I suspect it will go to a vote and it won’t get voted through by the Club’s but we’ll see.

26th February 2021 at 7:20 pm #176091Brian,
Manchester City’s strong winning form in my mind resonates and resembles to Liverpool last season (before the Pandemic Struck). It’s as if a win is effectively a foregone conclusion and the individuals placed together are somehow finding a way.
West Ham themselves this season have been a breath of fresh air but even with the surprising results we’ve witnessed so far this season, I’m not confident enough to say they can come away from the Ethiad with a Result.
Cheers

27th February 2021 at 10:40 am #176093Nike..we have form because we have done it before but guarantees nothing this time.. For me, the Pandemic is not an issue because it affects ALL teams and it is the same scenario for every game. Clubs, platers and management have t adopt accordingly and not put the blame on the Pandemic. It is true, without fans it cannot be as enjoyable but players are still paid and have a job to do. That is my point of view.
I will be really happy if we keep a clean sheet to day

27th February 2021 at 1:01 pm #1760977 changes today. KDB and Aguero clearly not match fit.
KDB more misplaced passes in this game than you might expect in 10 games. 28 mind gone 0-0.
Missing Foden and Bernardo.
Great ball KDB 1-0!!_____________________________

Not a big surprise the way the game has gone. We are not looking as fluent as in recent games.
No excuses but a CL match away a couple of days ago with the travel etc is bound to take its toll.
Let’s see what the second half brings.
Aguero looks a way off the pace which given he has hardly played for a year is no surprise._____________________________

27th February 2021 at 1:50 pm #176100Not playing well. But credit to West Ham they are making it difficult.
Jesus on to replace Aguero who looks exhausted. Covid reaction?_____________________________

27th February 2021 at 2:30 pm #176102Was watching the end of the Bournemouth – Watford game after the City game, massive brawl right at the end 3 or 4 players red carded and more yellow carded, probably serious repercussions to follow.

27th February 2021 at 2:47 pm #176105AnonymousWhooppee good old saloon brawl sorry I missed it. Was watching England’s best ever club team but oh how that reminds us of our young days when we had up to 4 or 5 different brawls every weekend.
