Brian, agree with everything you say. The scary thing for everyone else is that if the silky football is not fully up to speed City can play out a 1 nil win because their defence is now so good. Cheers 9’s

Life is unfair
God Is against us
We are cursed
All other fans are terribly horrid and meanI jest of course ! Always going to lose that but after going down early glad it wasn’t a cricket score!
Funny old season
United were mostly awful
Some nice goals but keeper was awful for meWest Ham comfortably showing the other London clubs how to do it
Must be amazing feeling for their fans

22nd February 2021 at 9:15 am #175804Moyes is my manager of the season so far Steve. People rave about Bielsa but Moyes has done a far, far better job IMO. If they keep this up, he’d be my bet to win it but I suspect they may drop off a little. Still a very good season for them regardless. Even making Lingard look useful!
Utd were poor last night and looked a mile away from the side who tore Sociedad apart only a few days earlier. Thought we looked jaded and only woke up in the second half. Greenwood needs to start more and Martial needs to be gotten rid of.
Thoughts on Arsenal Steve? They look miles off the top 6, never mind the top 4 IMO.

22nd February 2021 at 10:39 am #1758092 Teams I think strong candidates for the Runners Up spot.
We’re in freefall. Never seen 4 defeats in a row. Could be 5 by the time we reach this time next week. Confidence levels have dropped.

22nd February 2021 at 12:26 pm #175812Difficult to see were our next win in the pl comes from nil
Sheff utd will fancy themselves on Sunday
We need to change something. Change formation as we are far to predictable with our current set up
Ed, remarkable job by Moyes mate. Coufoul a very good but at right back. Decent little squad

22nd February 2021 at 2:51 pm #175816Sean,,,do you think that no plan B is part of the problem. Injuries you can do little about but at the start of season a strong squad is needed with more than just one mode of operation. Losses do have an effect on confidence but Liverpool are a team that has just won the league and CL in recent times and they should have enough capable players to get through this and effect confidence.A good dressing room is essential now. Other teams also have the same problem, it is up to the manager and players to work through this. I have to say, Liverpools Dutch lad got it right though, “you cannot keep blameing injuries” A very honest view, admire him for that

22nd February 2021 at 4:12 pm #175823No idea on Arsenal I swing from being fully behind Arteta to thinking it’s to much to soon
As a club and like many others I don’t get our transfer strategy at all or who is really making the calls
William should never have been bought and Arteta shouldn’t play him let alone as often as he does
Our transfers are all over the place so I’m just not sure what the plan is if there is one and if it’s Artetas if I fully trust it!
But it’s just football
I’d love another glory period but won’t happen for a good whileThe games changed and so has my over all thoughts of the game and footy
Which is more relaxing at least 😁

22nd February 2021 at 5:04 pm #175829Not that it would happen Steveo, but would you take Wenger back tomorrow? Not that that would suddenly turn you into prospective champions again, but I think he was able to paper over cracks that his successors haven’t been able to. I think you were only ever going to go one way after Wenger, and it wasn’t upwards. The owners got too comfortable with him being there getting top 4 most seasons, and as often happens, they didn’t think very much about what would come after him.

22nd February 2021 at 5:19 pm #175830No disrespect to United but I saw this and it made me chuckle.
There’s an outbreak of covid in the utd camp…can’t see de gea catching it, it will go over lindelofs head, fred cant pass it on …nobody will pass it to van de beek….martials been isolating for months. ….the spreader must be Rashford as he keeps running into people !😊

22nd February 2021 at 5:28 pm #175832No Mikus his time has gone don’t think he would make any difference now
He showed in his later years he was off the pace
Good few clubs in our position, it’s not just finding the right manager it’s having the right set up as a club and a real genuine plan_____________________________

22nd February 2021 at 5:34 pm #175833Stevo, I think the Arsenal fans may riot at any suggestion of a Wenger return.😊
Brilliant in his time though.
I think Clubs with ambitions to climb the PL will need a great scouting system, strong DOF, and a great Academy.

22nd February 2021 at 5:38 pm #175834Problem is Steveo, you might be waiting a long time for that plan! So pragmatism will be your best bet until then. On a more general note, there really is a huge lack of authority and leadership at many clubs. This is one problem that CL qualification and staying in the premier league gets you – many clubs simply start playing safe because significant revenues still come in regardless and fans will always support the club. Winning things arguably doesn’t boost things as much financially as you think, so the incentives just aren’t really there. And now we also have the economic consequences of the government actions on the pandemic.

22nd February 2021 at 6:19 pm #175835Mikus agree mate, there are big financial rewards for winning titles but the investment required can make the rewards not worth the risk depending on the owner and the club. Arsenal and Newcastle perfect examples of what you are getting at, one will be eternally satisfied with 4th, one with mere survival. Totally at odds with the aims and hopes of the fans, can only lead to toxic relations between fans and board in long term and that is exactly what we have seen

22nd February 2021 at 6:45 pm #175841Brian, fair point mate. We should be performing much better. We won the cl and never invested. We won the pl and never bought a centre back. We haven’t really spent big since the summer of 18.
We bought jota and thisgo but wr really haven’t gone mad with spending. I think klopps net spend is 140m
He needs to be supported by the board. Also why did we buy two centre backs but continue to play midfielders there?A 20 year old who was part of a poor schalke team conceding goals for fun and Davis who hasn’t played yet?
We are riddled with mistakes now. We never replaced Lovren. Biggest mistake of the summer. Our build up play is very slow mate.
We have always had different plans. We could play possession football, sit back or go all out attack. Now I’ve know idea what we are doing. Injuries is part of the reason as any team in the world is going to miss their 3 most senior centre backs. It’s bad my effected the midfield aswell as fabhino/Henderson taken out midfield to covet cb.
We acted in the last day of the window. It made no sense. We had a good bit of luck last season but it’s badly deserted us but that’s what happens when things are wrong
It is what it is chum and I’m fully behind the team and manager no matter were we finish now. Can’t see any chance of top 4 they way we playing at the minute mate
