21st February 2021 at 1:04 pm #175729Chelsea1967, totally agree mate
Us liverpool fans have it great the last few seasons. Tough season but o I wonโt go overboard even if we finish 7th. Crazy times in the world at the minute.
We just need to stay calm as fans. We are on a dreadful run but we had much tougher times then tvis over the last 10/11 years

21st February 2021 at 1:13 pm #175731Feel Tottenham’s Pain!
I must say though I’ve likened the Hammers. Imagine if they secured a Champions League place? I think most sets of supporters would be made up for them.

21st February 2021 at 1:14 pm #175733The other thing is that Liverpool have suffered more than most due to no crowd impact.
WHU currently leading Spurs 2-0. Dier and Sanchez are poor. Another goal from Langar!

21st February 2021 at 1:17 pm #175734Klopp then made a rather unorthodox claim that a form of divine intervention was the reasoning for their plight in the league so far.
โYou just cannot play football in this heavy wind,โ Klopp explained. โI am convinced now that God is a Man City fan and that he will do everything to stop us. You canโt win against God.โ
โMost importantly we have to admit that they scored twice, and we didnโt so that makes the result. Around their goals I think we created enough but we didnโt finish the situations off. We werenโt clinical.โ
Liverpool will be 5 points off a top 4 spot should West Ham beat Spurs.
Cracking up!

21st February 2021 at 1:19 pm #175736Adlab @ 1:14, always refreshing when somebody out there actually ‘gets it’ re the Crowd.
I’ve just been watching the Snooker. Some players thrive on it; it’s electricity.
Good understanding and empathy Adlab. We have to however come to reality that Klopp and his Management team haven’t handled this experience too well. We should really by now adapt to a new philosophy, given our current plight.
We should go more defensive and try and keep clean sheets. Be resolute and make a statement to others that we won’t be pushed around.

21st February 2021 at 1:51 pm #175741Spot on Sean.
Tbh I think some Liverpool fans suffer a bit from great expectations which means when they fall short it’s even tougher to take.
Currently there seems to be an expectation that Liverpool can still have a great season by winning the CL and almost through to the Qtr Finals that’s not an impossibility if they get some kind draws and a bit of good fortune but right now Liverpool look unlikely CL winners to me given how they are playing and the strength of the teams likely to be in the Qtr Finals.
Even though their not in the best of form currently I would put all of Bayern,Atletico, City and perhaps even PSG ahead of them as the most likely winners.

Ha,ha, that sounds like a Mourinhoism. It might have some sort of relevance if Liverpool weren’t 16 points behind City and City didn’t have a game in hand on Liverpool.๐

21st February 2021 at 2:04 pm #175746Big win for Fulham last night I didn’t watch it as I was all football out but I’ve been really impressed with Fulham the last few times I watched them they could achieve an unlikely escape if they continue playing like they are.

21st February 2021 at 2:22 pm #175752hi Nil and hope you are well mate.
” I can accept defeat, but the manner of it is painful. Every game thereโs the same pattern. Thereโs no fight or team spirit. Just thinking about this all. I canโt believe how far weโve dropped down. There is a danger now of making anything.
No European qualification and essentially lose out on big Revenue not to mention the prospect of not attracting big name players. ”
I read your post as set out above and thought back to a few seasons back and those were our identical feelings about where we ultimately headed. The interesting thing though mate is that if you were to miss Europe completely you would immediately have a major leg in to be Premier League champions again next season due to less distractions/football to play mid-week. That’s the way I looked at it. See mate, a bright side to everything ๐

Thought bale did well when he came on. Decent game
Ye Fulham are a decent side nine. Good week for them .

21st February 2021 at 2:52 pm #175759Klopp can be a joke when things aren’t going his way but the same can be said of Jose, Pep, Ferguson and the like. All were/are great winners but awful losers. In some ways, I think you have to be a bad loser if you want any sustained period of success.
Moyes must be in with a shout for manager of the year.
