Cheers nine. Just enjoy watching different teams and discussing different teams etc on here
Adlab, you can see Werner clearly had the talent chum. He’s running at players but I think his lack of confidence is killing his decision making and finishing. He has plenty of time in his side abd is a very good player

20th February 2021 at 3:47 pm #175666He’s tucking inside from the left for Southampton mikius mate. Not sure were he fits into our formation to be honest but he’s a good player
Suits 4-2-3-1 in number ten position
Two excellent finishes for his goals.

20th February 2021 at 4:34 pm #175671No surprises in the Liverpool team. Calvert Lewin on the bench. I predict attack v defence with Everton staying deep and playing on the break.

20th February 2021 at 4:52 pm #175673I have just watched the worst match ever. Two minutes to go. Burnley 0 WBA 0 and WBA have played most of the match with ten men. Burnley are indescribably poor!
Hope the next game is better😄_____________________________

20th February 2021 at 6:25 pm #175674Same pattern from Liverpool. For some reason they have gone away from last seasons attacking approach. Could be down to injuries in part but the fullbacks are not as penetrating as before. I wonder if they need a rest?

20th February 2021 at 8:57 pm #175675Surprised at Mr Klopps latest comments. The guy is obviously under stress and with family concerns but he really should be more careful because failure to find a way out for Liverpools malaise will need his skills in other directions. I am sure Liverpool fans are just as frustrated

20th February 2021 at 9:03 pm #175676You know sometimes I disagree with Klopp but he is a guy under pressure. I am absolutely sure that his sad loss of his mother is weighing very heavily. Added extra injuries dont help with the number of games to play.

20th February 2021 at 9:39 pm #175684Not trying to troll pool lads, been reading over the weeks and you have all taken the drop in form with grace and perspective, the standards achieved impossible to maintain over long periods, but wouldnt bet against klopp getting another run going next year with the right adjustments.

20th February 2021 at 9:42 pm #175685Dear me. The collapse continues. Was unable to see the game today. This isn’t an attack on Klopp who clearly has had a huge impact at the club. But I never thought even if we were successful under him that we would be a particularly robust side, i.e. take just even one ingredient out of the mix, and we can really struggle – be it if we aren’t as tight at the back, or don’t create very much, or lose certain players. Of course City have big money to help, but we saw even last season when City lost some of their edge, they were still very good and very effective. They still scored easily. We can’t even do that and now we’re also weak at the back. That’s a devastating combination. The front 3 have been too comfortable for too long. The likes of Jota were signed too late. And the midfield has failed to offer back up to the attack, and has had to be used instead to sure up the defence. In short, some players have been too comfortable, some have got injured, and the squad players have been no where near good enough when coming in to replace them.

20th February 2021 at 9:53 pm #175686Hi mikus, I do think the front 3 needs refreshing, they are not as hungry as they were, jota really looked a necessary signing when he got started, so undortunate to lose him, and others, really difficult few months and pool never going to be as good without VVD in backline, especially when the midfield is destroyed trying to cover injuries to defenders
Not quite as bad as our defence of title when Jose got sack though so that’s one record you aint taking 🙂

20th February 2021 at 9:59 pm #175687Mikus, it’s not competition that the front 3 need, one needs replacing to keep the other 2 on their toes, they never feel totally secure in their position in the club, let alone the side that way.
Still think is odd to weaken the midfield to make a make shift defence, I’d have thought a youth team player co7kd have been tried with a stronger midfield in front of him.
Saying that, Klopp must have looked at that possibility and discarded it…..Pagan

20th February 2021 at 10:05 pm #175689It’s a difficult one Lucky. For Klopp I think, less is more. He created a small group with a huge mentality that has been very very good for several seasons now. But it’s unsustainable in the longer term, and if you don’t keep freshening up, it will inevitably weaken and start to collapse. And then you need to rebuild. At least we’ve hit 40 points!

20th February 2021 at 10:06 pm #175690Thought first goal was very poor to concede. No way was it a pen but we didn’t do enough all game
Haven’t read klopps interview but not good enough all round

20th February 2021 at 10:11 pm #175691Pagan, yes it is odd that by sacrificing the midfield, Klopp created the double whammy of a makeshift midfield and makeshift defence. Surely as you say, better to have a weak/makeshift defence but maintain a strong midfield than makeshifting *both* areas! As for Klopp discarding an alternative option, I wouldn’t be too sure. Fear gets the better of many people and I think fear got the better of him there.
