I knew Liverpool were in for a hard time when I saw the team, playing central midfielders as centre halves is not good strategy, may as well give the youth a chance

7th February 2021 at 7:20 pm #174978Pagan, it’s also trusting in the players too mate. Invest time in them by developing them if you see that they have the potential, the attitude and the commitment and desire.

7th February 2021 at 9:23 pm #174981Hi lads.
I wasn’t allowed to watch the game as had another bout of atrial fibrillation the last couple of days. Its easing a bit. Just watched the post match bits. Allison’s feet were cold said Kopp!
If I’m feeling better tomorrow I’ll watch the game. Pep looked rather pleased.Sean, Nike what did you think of the overall performance.

7th February 2021 at 9:29 pm #174982Hope all is well adlab mate .
City fully deserved the win chum. I thought we were terrible and it was horrible to watch how slow we are
No pressing. Absolutely ridiculous decision to keep playing midfielders at centre back . Lack of belief going forward and no energy. Itβs horrible watching how Poor we have become going forward. I donβt enjoy watching us play last few home games . Itβs so boring to watch
Missed he detain and fabhino in midfield as we have press. Sterling ran amuck on taa
Foden clear man of the match

7th February 2021 at 10:10 pm #174987Tough game for Chelsea tonight I knew it would be with Sheffield United fighting for their lives.
The Mount goal was a lovely one including the build up.
Awful goal to concede and all this passing about at the back is shredding my nerves.π
Pleased to see Werner awarded MOM I thought he played well today top assist for the Mount goal and he won the penalty too.
Only one point behind a top 4 place now, that looked impossible a few weeks back.π

7th February 2021 at 10:23 pm #174988Hello Adlab, hope you’re okay mate.
Congrats first up.
The Second half display after our equalizer effectively was a rude awakening. You didn’t let up and I can’t see anything further now than a Manchester City League Title.
There’s a series of matters that are affecting our Results at the moment Adlab. We just have to bear the brunt.
Hope you enjoy it all. Keep Well π

8th February 2021 at 7:14 am #174989Hope you’re keeping well Adlab. Congrats on the win.
The title race might not be very exciting this season with City now running away with it, but the top 4 race is going to be very interesting. If everyone above Arsenal win their games in hand, only 6 points would separate Utd in 2nd from West Ham in 9th.

8th February 2021 at 10:05 am #174990Lots of vitriol all over the internet and trolling. Real shame that even from one of my faves in Liam Gallagher. Allison made a laughing stock of.
It’s the first time in the last few years we’ve been through a real slump and have had to bear the brunt. Talk about kicking somebody when they are down though – the human race.

8th February 2021 at 10:08 am #174991Just watched the whole game. Apart from the nightmare from Allison and the excellence of Foden I thought we were tactically quite cleaver. By keeping the Liverpool fullbacks busy it massively reduced the Liverpool supply line.

8th February 2021 at 10:28 am #174992Thatβs football nil. Itβs only banter mate
Alison will bounce back but those mistakes have been coming with him. Iβm akways anxious when he messes around like that
I was never confident even we scored. Our forward play is far to slow and ponderous. Itβs awful to watch when we keep slowing down the play. No pressing up top or in midfield. This team is unrecognisable from the last few seasons
I still believe we can turn it around . Good few games left but klopp needs to stop moaning and stop playing midfielders at centre back. Get Henderson back in there
Philips hadnβt done anything wrong and shoujd have been given a chance

8th February 2021 at 10:51 am #174994Sean, we had a couple of good efforts in the first half, but at times in passages of play, we held on to the ball to wait for support. That allowed Man City to get back in numbers.
We weren’t confident to really strive and go that one step further and be aggressive.
Gundogen wanted it from the midfield and he foden and Sterling were their key components.
Some people on the internet have foolishly made comparisons to Karius. Allison is still the best. He had a blur and he’ll bounce back.
It was inevitable at some point a good team would expose our defensive frailties and finally that took place yesterday.

8th February 2021 at 12:02 pm #174995City started the brightest and then Liverpool came into more and even more so after the penalties but then Pep changed his tactics Liverpool couldn’t reach and it could have been worse
Tbh imo where Liverpool find themselves now has been coming for a while towards the end of the season their standards had slipped a bit and they were fortunate in the first game of the season v Leeds then came the Villa game and the signs were there even before the injuries to VVD and Gomez.
Liverpool have had three years of playing at the highest intensity under Klopp often with very few changes and the players have struggled to step it up a gear this season because of that.
Alisson messed up yesterday with his feet but how many Keepers have we seen do that that doesn’t make him a bad Keeper.
Liverpool need to ring the changes in the summer and buy one or two big players in I’m not sure there’s the funding there from the owners to do that especially currently and to the owners credit they gave Klopp the Coutinho money which funded the purchases of VVD and Alisson but do Liverpool have another Coutinho to trade without affecting the team.
Football is cyclical even United found that out. I suspect Liverpool will still be there or there abouts next season but the dream of dominating for over a decade looks unlikely now and not just for Liverpool in these uncertain times

8th February 2021 at 3:55 pm #174998Nil, of course Liverpool are going to get some stick, Champions last season followed up by a not so good season, it happens to every team. The internet, social media, smart phones etc are all tools for a bit of banter, but letβs face it, itβs never happened to Liverpool before as these things werenβt round the last time you were championsπππ…..Pagan
