Deserved Winners – Congrats to the Man City Guys on here. A huge Well Done.

The best we can hope for is a Top 4 Finish and we need to reshape our structure of our first 11. Notice the level of pace Manchester City imposed on us. We can’t play midfielders in defense.

The guys have given us realistically 3 good years of progress where we won 2 Elite Trophies. Maybe once the Pandemic clears, we can have our moment with our Supporters.

Breaking a new record off 3 games at home as Defeats – incredibly hard to believe.

Hope we can get some joy out of the Champions League and find our mojo.

As I said before the game, City are able to be a much more robust side. Even if they have injury problems, they still have a strong squad with their finances and the way Guardiola plays means they will always score easily. That’s a hell of a combination. Liverpool have done very well over the last three years to compete with them. But lose a bit of energy and pick up injuries and it results in a much bigger hit to the team to the point where they’re no longer special anymore.

Moos, I’m not sure mate. I can’t see Jurgen staying with us for too long, maybe 1-2 more seasons I don’t know. We can’t really change the concept of our owners but be grateful for the success we’ve had with them in charge.

It’s unfortunate over some years we didn’t achieve more Silverware; losing finalists I think 2/3 times. Got the main ones though 🙂

At last, a win an Anfield. Absolutely buzzing.
Well deserved in the end. The pundits will talk about gifting us goals but we had players up the field to press and take advantage.
Phil Foden just gets better and better – two assists and a stunning goal.

Trouble with having your moment with the fans Nil is that City will probably have the trophy well and truly in their trophy cabinet when that can happen.

Very unfortunate that Liverpool weren’t in a position to celebrate with their fans because of the pandemic.

I suspect City will be in the same position at the end of the season too.

At home we have from one of the most exiting teams to watch, to one of the most Boring. We break away then stop and pass the ball back. No invention and very slow and ponderous going forward. Horrible to watch. Very passive and boring . Top 4 a huge task for us as we are playing so bad and

I think nil has summed it up perfectly, though incorrectly when he says “we need to reshape our structure of our first 11” that’s fine until you have injuries, what you need is a deeper squad to be able to cope when that happens. As for Klopp he’s done exceptionally well at Liverpool, I said a couple of weeks ago Klopp had a 7 year cycle, I’m not sure where else he’ll get that time, so it may mean another few years of rebuilding if he stays….Pagan

It was scrappy and I expected better football from two teams that are the best at watchable football, at the start I thought we were two lightweight up front so in my head i tough 0-0. Two things apparent to me
City changed the tactical plan at Ht, this was important
Defensive mistakes
Klopp set his style up, to play from the back when the players, he selected, could not do it comfortably, in my eyes ,some of the responsibility should be shared

The keeper will take the flack but he is a Pro so will bounce back

Cheers Sean and commiserations. Liverpool will come back, probably not this season but with a fully fit squad you’ll be up there next.
I do think Klopp needs to adapt/alter your style of play. The title win was down to ‘powerhouse’ football with a high press and a very solid defence. In this condensed season where fixtures are coming thick and fast, injuries and fatigue will obviously play a part – playing with such a high tempo for a high percentage of each game takes it’s toll.
