Agree about the Maguire dive and comments. Poor from him. The thing I can’t understand about the pen reversal is that they even looked at the foul/non-foul. It was clearly offside yet the ref was only looking at the collision on the monitors.

15th February 2021 at 8:39 am #175440So Arsenal won yesterday but for some reason, despite being in 10th, Arteta seems to just avoid any criticism. Since when was 10th (thanks to playing a game more) acceptable for Arsenal? Mourinho, Solskjaer, Klopp are all torn to shreds by the media for underachieving but Arteta seems to have a free pass, much in the way Lampard did until the last couple of weeks.

15th February 2021 at 9:45 am #175444Yes I guess that’s it Nine. Seems crazy to think that Spurs should have greater expectations than Arsenal but that’s very much the way it seems.

Youβre right of course but seeing United or spuds struggle at any time does make it a better dayLord knows my lot donβt give us many !
No idea why arteta is getting a free pass at all
But he shouldnβt especially as he continues to play willianHe also got lucky finding a system and players
He has done some good but not enough to avoid a shredding
But thatβs what I have you guys forπ
Have at it!!!

15th February 2021 at 11:00 am #175447Ye agree about Fulham nine mate
They play some decent football but need to turn the draws into wins
I think we are looking at the bottom three who are going to relegated
Big opportunity missed for Everton

15th February 2021 at 12:47 pm #175449AnonymousAnyone in thos image is in potential relegation battle. Lose three on the bounce and you are in serious trouble.
Essentially, first half season results are actually mirroring what will happen in the second half of the season. Expect one or two clubs to freefall.
Citys title to lose now, Liverpool just stood still and didnt freshen up over the last two seasons and are now out of steam. Essentially, great for a couple of season and now done.
First impressions of Tuchel, No different to Sarri… think Frank would have got exactly the same results as he would have had he been retained. Doesn’t matter, he’ll be gone time next year when our annual November December slump kicks in… As it does every year…

15th February 2021 at 8:52 pm #175508Deserved lead, on first viewing I thought the ball may have come off Giroudβs arm for the second goal, but thankfully not as Tiny Weener gets the reward for his efforts….Pagan

15th February 2021 at 10:27 pm #175511The top 4 looked a long way away for Chelsea a while back we need to try and stay there now which won’t be easy.

16th February 2021 at 5:40 am #175512It’s going to be so close the top 4 race Nine, by the looks of it. Even Leicester and Utd aren’t certainties, despite the current gap. There could be as little as 7 points between 2nd and 9th if games in hand are won.
Chelsea definitely looking like they’ve benefitted, at least in the short term, from letting Lampard go.

16th February 2021 at 8:28 am #175513I think Leicester dropping points is our best chance of a top 4 finish, Liverpool will come right and United will pick up points regularly. Of course City are definitely finishing in the top 4. It’s going to be tough for Tuchell but Lampard did manage it in his first season so don’t see why not. There’s still the likes of Spurs, West Ham, Everton maybe even Villa and Arsenal challenging for the top 4.

16th February 2021 at 8:51 am #175516Blaze,I don’t think you can compare the two situations Frank had a pre season to prepare the players and he and Jody had worked with many of them.
Tuchel is having to do it on the run from the middle of the season and this season competition for a top 4 place is more competitive than ever only 6 points separates Chelsea in 4th place and Spurs in 9th place and Spurs have a game in hand.
I hope we are not going to see Chelsea fans beating Tuchel with the Frank finished in 4th place stick if we fall short.
Rightly or wrongly Frank has gone now and for good or bad Chelsea fans have to get behind Tuchel now.

16th February 2021 at 8:56 am #175517Ed, top 4 is impossible to predict especially this season Chelsea have done well to get themselves back into the race but it will still be very tough for Chelsea to qualify for the CL. I have a sneaky feeling we may still fall short but we’re giving it a good go which I think is all Chelsea fans can ask for.

16th February 2021 at 9:12 am #175518Exactly nine. Letβs be honest we all thought Chelsea were done for mate. Huge improvement. Itβs funny how different managers favour different players. Alonso was done but he is a very good wing back. Formation suits him bigtine at the moment.
A new manager usually gets the team going for a while. Be interesting to see if Chelsea have a little blip this season but they are flying along now and great start for tuchel. I like his enthusiasm

16th February 2021 at 9:21 am #175520Iβm not so sure blaze chum
Itβs very difficult to predict.
You have expected utd to further ahead considering the fixtures they have had. Liverpool canβt beat anyone.
Leicester usually slip up and Everton keep blowing every opportunity they have to push on
Spurs …. they have been poor and then there West Ham???
Itβs been a really bizarre season but Iβve enjoyed it. Frustrating as a Liverpool fan but football doesnβt bring me down like it used to. It could ruin weekends. Now I forget about a bad result in 5 mins

16th February 2021 at 9:56 am #175521Yeah it’s impossible to predict at the moment but if I had to predict it now, I’d predict:
1. City
2. Chelsea (just think they’ll be riding on this new manager bounce for a while now)
3. Utd
4. LiverpoolThat’s not a million miles off my prediction in this thread where I said:
1. City
2. Chelsea
3. Liverpool
4. Spurs (but added it was between Utd, Arsenal and them)_____________________________
