Nil, for two seasons we’ve had “Johnny Big Potatoes” Liverpool fans banging on about how good they are, not specifically on here but in general, some even suggesting because the only lost one game in 18-19 they were the better team. Unfortunately Liverpool are having a bit of a bad run at the moment and they’re getting a bit of pay back, it’s a bit reminiscent of when the Pool fans gave Jose some stick at Anfieild when he went there with Chelsea, then got a bit upset when he put his finger to his lips for the old shhh gesture. Footy banter, it’s part of the game……Pagan

Blaze, I’m surprised Facebook still exists. I very rarely go on there; not even sure about the Market place they have as a trading outlet.
Unfortunately to my knowledge, there aren’t that many Decent Websites and Forum Platforms.
We should therefore hold on this one and thank our Lucky Stars we are surrounded by Good People 🙂

14th February 2021 at 2:06 pm #175384I think Klopp has sort of come up against the same problems that happened to Poch at the end of his reign. As Pagan said, you either have to change the manager, or change much of the team to keep things fresh. The signing of Jota was welcome but just felt too little too late. Compare and contrast to City who were able to spend big on squad players like Mahrez & Jesus. Liverpool have had Origi, Minamino, Oxlaide-Chamberlain, and Shaqiri. And Milner’s starting to look past it. Keita is always injured. Thiago has not been great. And then you add in all the injuries to the defence and it’s no real wonder the wheels have come off. What big teams should do is constantly have an eye on the medium to long term plan for the club. Players like Jota should have been signed earlier, with perhaps another similar signing so that they then start to push out the established players and the team then naturally transitions and evolves into a new team over time.
But as reasonable custodians as FSG have been, have they just been happy to watch Klopp win the big prizes on a smaller budget, only really being able to sell to buy? In which case Klopp has been used by the club and the owners will be left to pick up the pieces afterwards and eventually have to part ways from him to shield criticism from themselves, which is what many owners do.

14th February 2021 at 2:25 pm #175389I think once everyone is back Liverpool will go on a winning run, they also have not had much luck. That will also change after a while.

14th February 2021 at 6:26 pm #175407Blaze, it’s a refreshing change, decisions being corrected, I was only thinking the other day how many decisions are corrected in cricket, there’s no stigma in that game about getting the initial decision wrong, yet in football it seemed there was. I think VAR will be a little more palatable for fans if they see it doing what it should…..Pagan

14th February 2021 at 6:29 pm #175409Nice to actually watch and enjoy a match. I don’t mind of the result and both likeable teams in my eyes. Really pleased for Aubameyang – back on song. Leeds remind me of a 2005-06 Reading, always something in the locker and never a total write-off.
Generally good Refereeing too by Stuart Atwell.

14th February 2021 at 8:37 pm #175417Nearly 80 minutes gone at Goodison and Fulham are winning 2 nil.
What an unpredictable PL season this is.
Mind you I’ve been really impressed by Fulham of late.

Speaking of which what’s going on at the spuds?
Not just dropping like a stone but the malarkey with “bale force” heap of wages levy’s paying for not much and the inevitable fall out with Maureen

Steve, why are you worrying yourself with Utd mate? It’s Leeds, Wolves and Southampton you should be watching out for 😁
Not at all surprised at the Utd result. Fortunately, everyone below us is every bit as inconsistent and rubbish so we’ve still got a decent enough gap to the rest, for now at least. Very reminiscent of the season Jose finished second with us where we stumbled to second albeit a mile off City. Would very much take that now.
