But it actually starts today, haha and it’s Friday 13th.
Aston Villa v Leeds United. 8pm Kick Off
As far as the other talked about teams go, I believe this week will be pivotal in particular to Man City. They win both these games and I think overtime they’ll reach Top Spot and won’t let up.
Tottenham too could have a huge say and in the same breath, this could be very interesting for them too. There is no way they would want to lose 2 matches in succession with this being an extended Gameweek.

13th January 2023 at 8:59 am #202766Wrexham vs Bromley is obvioulsy the big game this weekend, 5 points behind top spot but with 2 games in hand, our future is in our hands no doubt. Should be comfortable, Bromley are extremely poor on the road.

13th January 2023 at 7:43 pm #202791Sean, I’m thinking the same on these up and coming matches. I think they’ll possibly define where the Title’s heading. If the Gunners can keep their momentum and hold their mental strength, they could find themselves in the same position come March/April.
Both City and Arsenal are yet to play each other.

13th January 2023 at 7:46 pm #202792Gunners’ application this season reminds me a little of Liverpool on 13/14. Only commitment of PL matches in essence and no Europe to think about.

14th January 2023 at 9:05 am #202796I always had hopes for this day that would come. This article is spot on. Even Jose couldn’t match Pep.

14th January 2023 at 1:13 pm #202802Danger of the main Talisman forced off and United need him.

14th January 2023 at 1:25 pm #202805Adlab, I’ve had to follow Radio coverage as the site of BT is down. My bad as I left it too late in the day to buy a subscription. It sounds like United have been defense and pulled out all the stops to thwart City. They are trying to pinch one at the other end and that appears to be their game plan.
There’s an unlikely-hood so it seems of a game full of goals. Weirdly, this appears to be like a Jose style approach to the game from Ten-Hag as he would rather not lose entirely and take minimal risks.
Pep on the other hand can change the dynamics as he has the tools to do so cue Riyad Mahrez and Jack Grealish.

14th January 2023 at 1:29 pm #202806Pretty good analysis. City are at their most vulnerable when they have most of the possession, can’t score because of good defending and then fall to the sucker breakaway.
Generally I think this is the overall United plan and so far it’s working well._____________________________

14th January 2023 at 1:33 pm #202808Ye not a great game at all. Utd plan working much better. N vet seen City give the ball away so much. They havenβt got going at all

14th January 2023 at 1:43 pm #202809Just as I thought. I think Grealish coming on may unlock United’s defense – could be a penalty too of some nature.

14th January 2023 at 1:50 pm #202811I truly thought something like this might happen. Too one dimensional from one team.
Pep pure praise with a Plan B.
Grealish! Could be the juggernaut needed to take back control of the summit.
