Yeah and we have no idea if Ten Hag is that yet, though his exploits at Ajax suggest he’s very good. I’m not suggesting he should have been given a whole new squad but you don’t go and get a manager like Ten Hag, with the football he plays and the team we currently have, unless you’re sure you can give him the absolute minimum backing he needs to gradually build something.

I have to say, I think Ten Hag has already made his first big mistake in using so much of a limited budget on a CB who is so short and was not a priority position

It just seems to me that the owners react/appease to the fans wishes (signing up Ole, appointing Ten Hag, still spending big on big players like Sanchez and Di Maria) but they just seem to expect everything else to take care of itself.

The below tweet from Fabrizio Romano, if right, just seems to show the board reacting to the fans rather than being proactive and having a plan.

Congrats to Brentford. Fully deserved. Utd simply have to persevere from here. We will be shown another lesson by Liverpool but we have to stick with the plan and focus on getting Ten Hag the players he needs now, whoever will even want to join this crock of shit now 😄.

Teams in the examples of Brentford and Brighton really add value to the Premier League and enjoyable to watch in wanting to play the ball on the deck. They’re not frightened to play the Big Boys and don’t overhaul their playing style.
