Hightown, we miss the fans at home bigtine. So do all clubs but klopp got anfield rocking again. Every game the atmosphere was immense. It wasnβt just European games. Never since maybe Kenny 30 years ago has their been a connection between the fans and a Liverpool team

Hightown, does that explain why City are top (when they win their game in hand), as they are the team most used to playing in empty stadiums?! π. Only joking to the City lads on here.
No, I think there is something in that. Utd have the biggest crowd but it has grown to be a lot quieter following the successful years which attracted a different type of fan. Utd still have some of the best away fans though IMO. I suppose we’re all biased here though.

Our Spurs game was just a weird one Sean. Had it not been for the ridiculous red card, I don’t think we’d have lost, never mind been battered but yes there have been a few odd results this season.

HH, the team missing the crowd more than any other in my opinion is Millwall, itβs a unique atmosphere down there that the home team can thrive in, and is maybe a little intimidating for visitors both on and off the pitch.
I think in general most people like routine, this season there is none. βWhen Saturday comesβ is a phrase that comes to mind, now itβs games everyday with no set pattern, people are concerned about the physical element of the number of games being played, Iβd be more concerned of the mental fatigue/burnout…..Pagan

Not saying itβs true.
You can see some players from some clubs performing much better and I thinks it maybe because the crowd are not on their backs??!

Yeah possible Sean. In fairness, I think the match going fans have always been quite good to Ole. Away from the ground, he and the players had an awful lot of stick last season and the start of this one though. I’ve been very critical of Ole, myself.

Pagan – yeah, I read somewhere this morning that there has been a Prem, FA Cup or Carabou Cup live game on for 24 out of the last 27 days. I know we need entertaining during lockdown, but it is getting ridiculous, and I think the football is getting worse (not just Liverpool!). There really should have been no Carabou Cup this season and no international breaks – that would have made it less congested

A little too busy at the mo to get stuck into all this and probably just as well for my liking. The great thing going for me personally is work and being nominated for an award which I’m absolutely delighted with.
There’s a culmination now I see due to the string of bad results that’s accentuated and analyzed. It’s 6 points behind and not the end of the universe. Fortunately for us, we’ve been blessed over the last few years not only with some great football, but also Silverware of Elite.
We need to focus by looking forward with a positive mindset and taking each game as it comes and try and arrest this poor run. Maybe surprisingly, we may win Sunday or more misery may pile on.
There are tough fixtures ahead, but there’s an opportunity to turn things around make no mistake and plenty of games.
Leadership, confidence and being able to galvanize each other seems to be missed. Fans especially as far as we’re concerned. We have to stick together and really graft hard with focus.
Hopefully, there is sooner than later light at the end of the Tunnel.

I think Liverpool are suffering from no crowd more than most. Also so often the season after the title season is always difficult as players suffer reaction.
The one thing I have noticed is the relatively poor form of the fullbacks._____________________________

Robertson has been fine adlab. Having a good season mate but Trent has been woeful. Really bad and needs time out of the team

Yeh, Id echo what Sean said. No crowds seem to be helping Ole the most. Had a full home stadium witnessed a heavy defeat like that vs Spurs, you could have imagined the boos that would have gone around the stadium. But Ole was able to be cocooned from all that. And so he can be less stressed about it all and just get on with it. Contrast vs Klopp who as HH says almost needs the crowd as much as the crowd needs him. Klopp is a cheerleader at heart.

Mikus agreed. We seem less affected by the lack of crowd but there are occasions when the team needs encouragement which a vociferous crowd can provide. It definitely helps the less strong teams like Burnley,.

Re crowds…..it has to be accepted the crowds will not be there this season and all fans and players have to get on with it. maybe lucky if they are there for the start of next season the way we are going
