9th December 2023 at 5:31 pm #211272Just got back home. 0-3. What happened. It was Bournemouth. Did anyone watch it?
Is Ten Hag safe still?_____________________________

9th December 2023 at 5:56 pm #211275I was out, so I wasn’t following things after our match. What the hell? That’s an absolutely wild scoreline. Did I read before that Utd can’t afford to fire Ten Haag?
I have a haunting feeling that they’ll find room in the ebooks tomorrow morning. This is terrible news for Liverpool, as we don’t need some new manager bounce nonsense.I guess I’ll have to see the highlights and read the synopsis but it sounds like TH has lost the entire dressing room now. That we are beyond the speculation. I just can’t see him being the manager for more than 24 hours. I hope I’m wrong.

9th December 2023 at 6:00 pm #211276Is this the time for the Utd ownership to turn around and tell the manager that he’s staying and that he can replace any players who don’t want to play for him?
Is he the man for that job?If he isn’t, then Utd have got to hire players to suit a system that they want the team to play, not players who Ten Haag wants for his specific purposes. They need to tailor their recruitment around the clubs now very webbed-over, dusty identity.
Sack the players.

9th December 2023 at 6:02 pm #211277Think things will at least wait for the reported Ratcliffe deal?

9th December 2023 at 6:20 pm #211281Well it’s dropped in terms of intensity levels and excitement, but the score remains the same. Has to be another goal in the second half.

9th December 2023 at 6:22 pm #211282Too many managerial changes and the same players like Martial and Rashford. Ten Hag looks a lone figure; I rarely see him with his management team during games. Dunno really. Would any of the class of 92 want the Gig if it was there?

9th December 2023 at 6:32 pm #211283That’s a good point Nil. I mean Utd are in a desperate state with these players. Maybe it’s time for them to go mad and give Keane a go. He never fit in at lower clubs because he always expected away too much and he would probably fail, due to his poor temperament but he might be the man to sort the lads out. After a few months with Keane, you’d know who was willing to fight to stay at Utd and who should be on the market.
Have they anything to lose, because no manager will work out there until they clean the rotten apples out of the barrel.

9th December 2023 at 6:59 pm #211285Yeah, still a good 20 minutes plus. It’s likely to be a mistake or a player switching off that would lead the Gunners to level. If that happens sooner, that’ll give them the belief to turn it around.
If on the other hand Villa can hold out……

9th December 2023 at 7:51 pm #211286I reckon players are far too pampered these days for someone like Keane to work as he’d just have them all constantly upset and pissed off. Which, incidentally, is what I think is happening with Ten Hag. He’s as strict as they come and I do wonder if he’s just too strict for a bunch of those players who just can’t handle it. No idea what to make of us at the moment. It’s such a roller coaster being a Utd fan these days.
Another amazing result for Villa!

9th December 2023 at 8:38 pm #211287Maybe, I just think that Keane might galvanize the place, as the OT fans would be extra loud for Keane, especially if he ever gestured towards them during a game etc.
I’m not saying that he’d work out BTW, just that I wonder if he’s a viable option. How about somewhere in between? Fire Ten Haag and hire Keane as interim. If the new lad comes in and wants to keep him great, if not then it’s grand cause no promises were made.

10th December 2023 at 11:22 am #211289Can see nothing more than a statement victory from Manchester City this afternoon:
Coming Up:
16th Dec – v Crystal Palace – Home
27th Dec – v Everton – Away
30th Dec – v Sheffield United – Home13th Jan – v Newcastle United – Away
31st Jan – v Burnley – HomePrior to reaching the Newcastle game, you’d expect City to rack up 12 points which would take them up to 42.
Teams currently occupying top places are on 37,36,35, but we don’t know how their next few games will pan out, so every point and a win is vital.
Be very interesting to see where we are come February
City have that Uefa Club Championship game also, but come the new year, KDB will be back and no doubt will be a huge lift to the Blues.
