6th December 2024 at 4:49 pm #216688Work trip this week, so not much time, but it would appear every game is beginning to have serious ramifications one way or the other… is Angie running out of luck, or will our injury list be considered here? Unfortunately, performances have been dropping (apart from the 115 mauling), won’t be long before his looking over his shoulder… (and I’m starting to think Sonny’s legs have gone!).

6th December 2024 at 8:41 pm #216689Complacency could be our greatest downfall. Currently, we sit second in the league on goal difference, trailing Liverpool by seven points after 14 matches. Last season at this point, we were in tenth place. If this disparity starts to affect the players’ mindset, we may struggle. However, if we bring the same motivation and determination we showed against Aston Villa and Southampton, we have a strong chance of success.
Despite their recent struggles, Spurs remain a formidable opponent with several talented players who can pose a serious threat. The likes of Johnson, Kulusevski, Son, Madison, and Solanke are particularly dangerous, and I trust that Maresca won’t underestimate them. Our defense is not one of the best in the world; it always has mistakes in it. For this reason, I would prefer to see a partnership of Caicedo and Lavia, with Palmer positioned ahead of them. I would choose Madueke and Neto on the wings, Gusto and Cucurella as fullbacks, and Colwill and Tosin as center-backs, though I suspect Badiashile will get the nod.

6th December 2024 at 8:55 pm #216690Worried about Storm Darragh hitting Merseyside tomorrow early afternoon, it could easily turn some of those wild, wayward Everton long hoofs into great through balls! Maybe both teams will be taking a shoot on sight policy as it can really mess with the goalie.
Going to be hard, dirty perhaps and not a pretty watch. Actually might be good that MacAllister cannot play as he never seems up for it when there’s a physical battle in the middle, and he probably needs a rest.
Chance it might be postponed? Might be good for Liverpool to get some players back, and good for me to keep in the missus’s good books by not having a(nother) game in the middle of a Satuday!

7th December 2024 at 10:52 am #216692Could be a blessing in disguise this. Macca was on a suspension and Alisson, Jota, etc still not ready. This of course will be on a double gameweek, but probably better to take this out this time of the year as we have CL on Tuesday coming up so now we can rest out and prepare for this and Fulham the following Saturday.
Not too bothered about our point gap being reduced. People get too carried away in the first place and this just proves how quickly things can change.

7th December 2024 at 8:01 pm #216695This league is so competitive and has me convinced haha π
Still wouldn’t completely write off Man City, but looks like there will be a new PL Champion in 2025.

7th December 2024 at 9:01 pm #216696It certainly won’t be us… now Davies is out for 4/5 weeks… leaving us with a starting line-up tomorrow which I suspect will have Forster in goal, and Dragusin and possibly wee Archie Grey as CB’s… we never do well against the Jammy Todgers… but I’ll be f*****g amazed if we get a point, let alone 3… and if Werner starts… f**k me…
Won’t even bother tuning in…

7th December 2024 at 9:21 pm #216697Chucks, the Best Encouragement I can give mate is that This Is The Premier League. You are at Home with Maddison. Plus you’ve beaten 4 in a row Champs Manchester City.

8th December 2024 at 6:33 am #216698We also lost to Ipswich, the week before, with Maddison (who’s firing more blanks than Boycie!).
Like I said, Christmas will have come early if we even get a point…

8th December 2024 at 4:11 pm #216702Well, i can’t see anyone catching Liverpool on current form. This title is Liveepool’s title to lose. I can’t see them losing unless there is a miracle. They have good leaders who have done it before.

8th December 2024 at 4:17 pm #216704Let’s all larff at Buffy… then let’s all larff at me… anything less than 4-1 Jammy Todgers would be a victory for football.

8th December 2024 at 4:23 pm #216706This game is evenly poised, that is the best Spurs line up. Wether they have the spirit to fight is another matter.
