Yeah was a weird one Lucky. I thought Carrick went there for the draw and I don’t blame him at all considering how City and Liverpool tore us apart at our place. Have to agree that I think City and Liverpool are the better sides at the moment and more likely to win the league IMO. Always pleasing as an opposition fan to see Werner start. I’m sure the same can be said for half our team from opposing fans.

So wasteful today from Chelsea and not just Werner and then Chelsea give away a stupid goal. Great point for United though and 2 dropped by Chelsea.
Until Chelsea solve the problem of wasting chances they won’t win another PL title 3rd at best imo this season.

I think we have ourselves to blame for this draw. And Tuchel had an off day tactically or he underestimated the United defence. United had three defensive midfielders to win the ball and make us difficult, amd we only had Jorginho, Loftus Cheek was a passenger IMO. I pray Kante and Kovacic return soon. As for our attack, it was a mistake to start with Werner. It’s time the club cut its losses and sell him or use him as make weight for another option. Havertz should have started or even Pulisic. And i’m curious to know why Mount didn’t star?

YB, harsh to criticise tuchels tactics imo when we dominate like that. We didn’t have kovacic or kante, Ruben came in and while it wasn’t his best game I thought he gave it his all and did a decent job alongside jorginho.
We didn’t take our chances simple as that imo, Roy Keane and Jimmy Floyd saying exactly that now and no one is blaming tuchel.
Although I will criticise selecting werner 😊….

I think Chelsea will do well to end up 3rd, let’s be honest we just don’t have the firepower upfront which is so vital but I’m OK with that however we need to find someone quickly who can hit a ball on target or without opposition blocking it if we want to end up in the top 3. Otherwise it wasn’t a bad performance totally dominated the game and all the stats that go with it.

I see Liverpool fans saying we’ll struggle to get into the top 4 and Chelsea fans saying they will finish 3rd. I think both teams are incredible and either could easily win the PL this season. I just don’t agree with anyone saying that 1st is out of their reach.
Chelsea are an absolutely brilliant team. They were unlucky not to win in many senses, in others you can say they should have a bit more quality at the very top. Partially valid points but I think they are the 2nd highest scoring team , so…
Today they could have done with more goals. I dont think Jorginho is to blame for Utds goal, that was super awkward and he was pressed well.
A draw against a resilient Utd is no death knell for a title challenge though. Trust me, as a fan of a team who wants the Pl title, Im very qualified to say that I’m delighted that ye didnt win. Chelsea are a SERIOUS threat to the title.

Amusing debate between Carra & Keane on Ronaldo. For me Ronaldo should be used by the club at the right time rather than thinking he has to play every game. They’ve got caught up in the Ronaldo fever and let themselves be used by him. He may be scoring goals but the team have gone backwards this season.

ya, definitely at least 3rd. I’d say the same about City and Liverpool. People sayign we will struggle to make top 4.. well, if they turn out to be correct then I’ll be amazed. As you said,. the top 3 are far and away the best in the PL and they are truly untouchable, as things stand.
A few big injuries here or there might change things of course. I am talking about normal circumstance though.

We’re honestly, so lucky to have such rich competition for the PL. The top has 3 insanely good teams. After that, the quality for the rest is still very good and it’s getting better every season. Some of the lower/mid PL sides would have pressed for a European place 15 years ago. They might have got it.

In general, it’s an evenly matched currently occupying Top 3. It could well be Blue Ribbons come May. It’ll ultimately dial down to the usual factors all teams have to face that essentially comes with the territory.
Teams beneath encouragingly are capable of taking points off each as proven. Week in week out though, your playing levels have to be of a high standard.
No international breaks in December – Yippee 🙂

Chelsea’s current defensive capabilities give them a slight edge so far but I have said before that we’ll improve in that regard, as the season went. I think we’re showing signs of it but regardless of the cleansheets, we’re definitely not there yet. We have however controlled games recently. Our attack is even better than in previous seasons. Salah is having his best ever season, besides maybe his first. Jota … I sometimes get annoyed with him but he scores goals, at a rate (per minute) that is comparable only to Salah. Mane was absolutely shockign last season but we’re seeing more from him again.
There really are a few key players who didnt perform last season, who now are.. Trent, Robertson, Mane.. they would be the main 3, off the top of my head. We look great when Trent and Robbo are playing well.
