Just tuned in as I thought the game was at 6cet oops. Seen the BBC blog graphic showing the average positions of Utd players is with everyone in their own half. Still nil nil and you never know only takes a mistake or a bit of magic and even a super defensive team can nick a win. Looks a bit like a training match at the moment!

Yeah. I’ve not seen United being allowed to develop any real attack. No real shape and any use of the wide players. Played in good spirits so far though and Chelsea overall have control.

At least Utd seem to have learned that they can’t just take everyone on, as they see fit on the day. Play to your strengths, until you have an actual plan.

The new manager will get something out of this group of players. It isn’t like when Van Gaal took over, this squad is competent , they just lack identity and a real top manager in charge.

Rafa is going down in flames at Everton. Can’t see him lasting long at all. He’s been away from top football for too long. Taking interesting jobs is commendable but you’ve got to keep learning and adapting, or you go stale. I hope they don’t sack him soon, as you’ve got to give him time and he may well get things going yet but you’d expect old Rafa to be doing better than this.

I don’t even think it’s as simple either that those days are gone, as teams can still play the way Rafa used to play. It tends to be smaller teams but they’ll get better results than this and really what Everton need is stability until Rafa gets a few windows in.

Why was Ronaldo not started? he have a niggle? I havent really watched much of Utd, is he showing his age or something?

I imagine him coming on will be a big concern for Chelsea though. I mean, maybe stick him on right now. If yer fit enough to make the bench, yer fit enough for 45 (90% of the time anyway).
