threes…you are right about “passengers”. I hope our benchmark is Bernado Silva, work rate, ethic skill is the measure we should not fall behind on at City, I do fear we shall loose him though but then we have Foden coming through nicely

27th November 2021 at 12:31 pm #189928Utd have no chance tomorrow. It’s not like we have a new manager in yet. It’s the same people who have been coaching the side for the last 3 years. That as well as having both our first choice CBs and our first choice LB out against the form team in the league. Fred a doubt. Pogba out, Greenwood out. Cavani out. Yes I know a lot of those are struggling for form anyway but the ones coming in haven’t been playing for a reason either. Fred can be awful at times but he was the catalyst against Villareal and he’s one of the few good pressers in the side when on his game.
Considering what Liverpool and City did to us, getting a point would be huge for Utd but I’m expecting nothing.

27th November 2021 at 12:43 pm #189930Is there any reason why match commentators always agree with the officials or refs decisions even if it’s clear they made an error. Don’t know why but I find that irritating.

27th November 2021 at 12:43 pm #189931Always a punchers chance with ronaldo Ed but I agree, odds overwhelmingly in chelsea’s favour which is why I am so nervy as nothing but a win will do for us.
Hopefully we take our chances, but its the psychology of the game that unsettles me with all expecting easy chelsea win and no pressure or expectation at all on utd.
Hopefully our players don’t step on the field Sunday thinking it will be as easy a win for chelsea as the utd supporters think it will be, because that is exactly how upsets happen.

27th November 2021 at 12:50 pm #189932No I agree with that Lucky. We’ve got plenty of talent so there’s always a chance some individual skill is enough and Utd sneak something. “No chance” probably a bit far but the odds are firmly in Chelsea’s favour. Chelsea odds on at about 8/13 and Utd around 6/1!

27th November 2021 at 12:51 pm #189933Ed, been looking into ragnick and his style of play. Defo what you were looking for.
Not sure how many of your players are ready for it though and I think in short term you may see the opposite of how games panned out under ole.
Under ole you would start slow and without direction, go behind and then chase the result late on. I think under ragnick you will start games like a house on fire, get yourselves a lead but then be hanging on for the results last 30 mins with players exhausted.
Saw a lot of that with pool under klopp early on but will be worth it in long term for sure and will really benefit whoever is appointed in the summer.

27th November 2021 at 12:54 pm #189935Yeah I think it will be good long term Lucky but it certainly won’t be a quick fix. I’m very optimistic about the idea of him being involved beyond this season. Almost more so than this interim managerial spell, which I think might be too short to really positively impact things.

27th November 2021 at 12:59 pm #189937Chelsea are understandably favourites Ed but there’s always a chance with players like Ronaldo, Sancho, Fernandes and Rashford available to United.
Overall United are much better than their recent results and the players will want to impress Rangnick who will be watching from afar.
Much more difficult game for Chelsea now than it looked this time last week.

27th November 2021 at 1:00 pm #189939Yeah he will be laying solid foundations moving forward and I honestly hope the suits at utd don’t listen to him 😉
Always maintained that the only difference between utd and chelsea, pool and city last 3 years has been the decision making. If you start getting that right the only way is up for utd.

27th November 2021 at 1:03 pm #189941I can see Rangnick turning United around and if it goes well I wouldn’t rule out him being given longer than just this season.

27th November 2021 at 1:10 pm #189942Saint-maximin is such an exciting player to watch, only just turned this game on but every time I watch Newcastle he is so good and much too good for them to be honest.

27th November 2021 at 1:21 pm #189949Newcastle getting 9 men behind the ball and relying on the break. Understandable tactics from Howe but it doesn’t make for a great game.
