Yeah, must admit Salah’s was soft. All I really saw in that was Tyrone Mings’ right arm come across but he could get his body in front of Salah and at that point Salah just fell.

I don’t think Allison really at the other end didn’t do anything wrong.

Finally saw the Alisson/Ings incident again and stand by my first judgement that Liverpool were very lucky not to concede a penalty. He touches the ball slightly but he brings down Ings who would have be able to get to ball after Alisson’s slight touch.

Salah’s was a pen, he did what strikers are taught and get your body between the ball and the defender. If the defender gets too close he is likely to make contact for a pen, or he let’s the striker run on on goal.

Rudiger’s was a blatant cheat to get a pen.

So many differing views on the many penalty decisions yesterday just shows how difficult it is for the refs, with or without VAR, to be consistent. Multiple replays from multiple angles and you’re always going to get different opinions.

Rudiger second was definitely theatrical. He should have been booked for diving. More to the point, Chelsea’s equalizer should have been disallowed because Alonso had collided into the Leeds defender during the build up and that for me was actually a foul.

Poor Refereeing in spite of help available from VAR.

Lol, nil and threeps pissed off because chelsea’s fortunate penalty meant that pools fortunate penalty didn’t take them 3 points clear of chelsea 🤣

Klich was an idiot and fouled rudiger, he would have been stupid not to to go down every other player in this league would have including the angels at anfield (and spuds banjo, you self righteous little bugger 😉 )

Nil you need to watch chelsea’s equaliser again with your reading glasses on rather than your pool specs bud, understanding the rules would help you too.

I agree with your last point however, I can see Chelsea dropping out of the title fight. If a team that bases its style on tight defensive play start defending poorly then they will have problems. Still plenty of time to put it right, but must be a bit of a worry for Chelsea fans at the moment. Hope this view hasn’t upset too many Chelsea fans.

Lucky mate, Alonso collides into the Leeds player causing a foul which clearly for me was overlooked. Some of us are going to perceive incidents differently whether we agree or not. Salah’s was soft, but last year we had Henderson’s legitimate goal at Everton ruled out so decisions over the course of time do level out.

Nil, it’s everything to do with understanding the rules bud. Alonso won the ball cleanly, they collided, one player fell down, its not a foul if it were VAR would have disallowed the goal fir a clear and obvious error by the ref.

What rule did alonso break?

You may notice lucky that I also think I am the only liverpool fan that said Alisson could have gave a penalty. It was only my opinion but I try and look objectively at what happens. And it is my objective opinion that Rudiger cheated a penalty and that Salah did not he played clever, Ali one maybe should have been and that City were very fortunate with theirs. Not seen Utds. Not trying to get a bite from you but you Chelseas fans do go very precious whenever someone says something even remotely negative about your team, even if it’s a fair and reasonable opinion.
